I can’t wait for mine to arrive this week (Fingers crossed) ! I got the same colour but with the additional switching and Igor painted the headstock to match! … HORNBEAM
@aprilkurtz15892 жыл бұрын
Nice guitar! The fretboard is probably European hornbeam (Carpinus betulus). There's a Hop Hornbeam(Ostraya virginiana), native to the US, also. You are Guitar Geek, I am PrairieFreak, your friendly neighborhood botanist and native plant specialist.

Thanks April! What’s the main difference between those two?

I have 2 guitars of the same model and one(#1) sounds loads better than the other(#2) when unplugged. About the same as the 2 examples you showed. Would you believe the acoustically louder guitar(#1) actually doesn't sound better once you plug them in? Yep. I have no idea why. I just know what I hear and it clearly doesn't sound as good as guitar #2 once you plug them in.
@lone-wolf-12 жыл бұрын
Interesting to hear that. My 6 cheap/affordable guitars sound plugged in exact correlation to the unplugged sound. Even the timbre.

I bought a Strat style Valiant guitar. It had shorts in the volume knob at 3 different positions of the 5 way switch. Other than that, it was perfect.

Now show us how less costly to build our own version sans Hornbeam. My guess is it can be done for less than $500. Add $100 for an Epiphone molded HSC. Just a thought.

Been eyeing these for a while. Love the look!! Not much out yet on sound, a few reviews. The tone pot was supposed to click when turned up to 10. So not a great sign that it broke during the review. Small thing but at $2500 not reassuring. Also, these come from Ukraine. So if they’re defective in some manner do you ship them back(not cheap)for warranty work? New company, high price, unknown reliability(Solar guitars anyone?)………seems like a gamble. But damn they look good….and that case🤌🏻
