It's very possible to 5mk over juri fireball to both hit on the other side of it and possibly even stuff the DR if they try to follow it in. Yes, it can be risky, but if you understand you'll have to go back to neutral after that, you can make it do wonders. You can even block the fb after you use it. It can really help with making them think twice

@@SuperLemonfish Is SF the only fighting games you guys played or am I missing something? What games with more neutral are you talking about? Samsho? Game has no aidashes, almost no teleports, drive rush can be checked by pressing 1 jab, if and when DR in neutral become too oppressive such as with Juri you can lab the character and learn to perfect parry it. I mean it’s the same thing as with scrubs that keep tryna jump. You lab and you find a way to beat it? Good players will learn to respect and play neutral with you once you checked them once or twice no?

@@tanzolo4487 Ive played many fighting games. sf6 has a particular lack of interesting neutral. Largely due to the common top tiers all having the ability to shut neutral down pretty easily without much counterplay. (ken, luke, DJ, Juri. Specifically.) A game like GG+r for example actually has better neutral. Sure gg neutral is crazy and high flying. But the defensive options in that game are quite strong and make it more nuanced and fun. sf6 is unfortunately one dimensional. drive rush is way too strong. "just jab" isn't at all a good enough counter to DR. it's extremely hard to react to, gives very little reward on hit considering the risk, and jab straight up loses to some buttons if they are spaced/timed a certain way. and characters have too many options to just completely negate the jab with fireball > drive rush. for example. And if you think landing that 2 frame parry on DR is a consistent answer... you must be the new best player in the world lol. Top players aren't even doing that. And part of why is because again, thats a HARD READ. with bad risk reward. If they grab you lose, if they time their button slightly late or early you lose. and your reward is a shitty scaled parry combo (unless you have level 3 stocked. although of course that's still worse reward than they would get if they hit you)

I just think the game mechanics of sf6 don't work for manon like they do for other characters. Her sf6 specific tools are all kinda trash. Manon would definitely be a REALLY good sfv character imo. Just because she's so neutral focused and has really good footsie tools. But people who actually play neutral in sf6 is hard to come by

Manon feels like a season 2 character. Mediocre damage outside medal 4/5 grabs. Worst raw DR in the game. Doesnt skip neutral. This is what everyone wants after the next patch. If they leave her alone and nerf the top half to be more like her, she will be eating good.

No I don't think YOU understand he just likes playing her. Even if she is low tier, she's essentially the only character Idom enjoys playing in this game. Playing a character you like, a character you feel you gel with, a character that doesn't feel like you're forced to play them is liberating. Don't be so logical all the time, learn how to feel. It'll actually make you a better player. TLDR: Idom feels, you do not.

nah your spitting here, he touched on some minor weaknesses but not really the big weaknesses. I honestly think her neutral is kinda a big nothing burger. Half her normals loose to DI. So they have good hitboxes but I think pretty awfull frame data. And not scary enough to not make you mash on her pressure.

Choosing Manon when the game came out is the worst decision I've taken since playing FGs. I don't have a main in SF6 yet and I shouldn't have done that I should have waited for season 2 or 3 or whenever he's gonna come out. If he ever does. Manon was not worth it.

Nice try idom. I know your Manon is literally the best and you hold it down for NY, but come on bro. Manon is bottom 1 in this game rn. Not Lily, not Honda. People don't fear or get annoyed by her setplay. Even though Honda and Lily have more elementary gameplans, they still manage to confound opponents. Manon only gets her medals from being very aggressive or by punishing attacks. Her neutral pokes are good but almost everybody is skipping neutral. You might as well be telling us to suffer by playing her.
