I’m a.fan of Sid Meier, XCom and Valkyria Chronicles so this peaked my interest.. I was considering Wasteland 3 but figured I’d try this one out first being it has me curious..

Great game though for me I kept the same three since the start of the game till the end and honestly the hog rush ability bormin gets is pretty op for taking out higher health enemies stealthily as it stuns the effected target for two turns meaning your characters get free rain with the silenced weapons to kill them which honestly turned into my go to strategy when picking enemies off.

I have Xcom 2 and this game. I playe turned-base games in my childhood like Jagged Alliance, Gorky 17, Fallout, so when i bought Xcom i expect that, but what i got was a way too complex and time-consuming strategy game with some turn-based fights in it. I didnt like it at all, and its art-style didnt help on the situation either. Its full of designs we have seen a million times, and i found it incredibly boring. MYZ's artstyle and HUD elements however amazed me in the moment i started the game. Sure we have seen tons of post-apoc stups before, but with the mutants it was something interesting, and the swedish environment helped a lot too. I love it. The controls, systems of the game were straight forward, logical and fun, there are no "cheating" enemies in the game like in Xcom, every situation can be totally doable if you play your cards right. It is not easy (i played it on very hard), but not unfair either, it has just the right amount of diffiulty for a game like this. Usually if you're stuck somewhere you dont plan your attacks, your inventory, abilities, and your squad well enough for the situation. I really hope, they are gonna make a sequel in the future.

I didn’t used to like tactical games but ever since playing wasteland 3 I’ve been loving it, and games like gears tactics and this game as well, I’ve been loving this game. And i agree it is a great video!/review

@@CenturianEagle Oh heck ya i would recommend XCOM. It feels like the strategy board game "Risk" had a baby with Chess . Then that baby had a baby with an alien, lol! It has less RPG elements than Wasteland does, but fills that gap with more layers of strategy. The first game "Xcom: Enemy Unknown" is alittle more clunky than Xcom 2, but is still a blast to play. The combat gameplay of wasteland 2 and Xcom are almost identical. Plus both of the games are pretty affordable. If you plan on buying Xcom 2 i recommend buying the game on disc. You can get the base game and all the huge dlcs for only like 30$. If you try to buy it digitally it will cost you over 100$. Haha

Gg everytging without spoiler . I play on extrême difficulty with mutant of Iron mode for the third time i died Twice before near 3/4 of the game. I ll take another shot this film was usefull 👍 gg everyone

While Mutant Year Zero is nice, X-COM 2 is overall a much better game, which is also indicated by the ratings. X-COM 1 should not be compared to this game as it was released 2012 and an absolute gem for this time. However, I hope Mutant Year Zero will be continued in a second part.

Still waiting for a lower priced sale on psn, seems they dont want ti lower it more, been same sale price since always, 24cad for the complete ed. Bit steep for a short mostly linear game, even though it interests me quite a bit. Their new game miasma chronicles is already on sale at the same price, strange, it looks great too,,but i want to play this one 1st. Good recommendations btw, inv inc, is a lil hard to get into, the graphics style makes it hard to see clearly. And phoenix point 0 is great on ps5, on ps4 it was really slow, stuttering.

Before saying why you are wrong and why i don't recommand the game just know that i finished the game on the hardest difficulty, made videos for most sections and it was too easy. After i restarted the game a few times because the game will be imposible to finish if you don't upgrade the right way or pick the right skills. The game is not an RPG, it's a linear tactical turn based game wich forces you to play the game a certain way. After upgrading your silent weapons you become artificially blocked because the starting silent weapons are the end game silent weapons. The normal weapons are still the same until the mid part and in the end you get some guns that seemed overpowered....just to use them in 1-2 missions. It became very boring to do the same tactic every combat because the enemy variety is almost reduced down to 10 types wich are diferentiated in tank and non-tank. Most abilities made the game look exploitable and there are too many exploits like the smoke grenades/bormir stun/emp attachments. The game has no varierty, the ending is just a middle finger to people because it's a setup for Mutant year 1, nothing is really explained as it deserves. Everything is a typical version of apocalypse where humans kill humans because humans. Another problem is that you only get 1 twist to the game that is expected. Overall, the game is over hyped, not worth it's price and the story and progressions is laughable. I still recommand it to people at a sale but with greatly reduced expectations and i hope if they chose to do another game it will be a proper rpg like Fallout/Atom rpg or at least more combat oriented like Xcom

Like good combat, after you learn the formula you can aproach each fight using the same combat scheme and control,same skills in same order. The worst part was when i played the dlc....they made visit the same locations with the enemies...and more enemies actually

So I just played the game for the first time. First shot I take is point blank with a shotgun and it says “miss!” Then he shot me with a pistol and hit. Alt+f4, uninstall, remove from library. I hate that shit.

Its not bad if you get good at scouting and planning ambushes on top of team building I had some problems at first but after a few battles it eased up for me

Its not really hard, my level is 11 but i was able to kill all enemies on a place that suggest level 25.
