Ngl, the only reason why I wanted purrely was because they’re drawable. Also they look like eevees but for yugioh, a combination of what I love. I did draw Beauty, Purrrely, and Purrely in one canvas last year and it still holds up to this day.

I learned a very interesting interaction thanks to master duels. If a Scareclaw kashtira attacks a noir despite being unaffected it negates Noir making it extreamly easy to kill.
@adriancardona21723 ай бұрын
Yeah, because Scareclaw's ability is a passive with a condition, while Noir is only immune to activated effects
@NoPurpose-nd8li2 ай бұрын
Shoutout to my personal favorite purrely variant, purrely lyralusic. Any two purrely monsters let’s you go into recital starling which lets you go into Utopic Draco future as long as you have 1 lyralusic monster in grave, which is easy with the purrely discard cost. You also get really easy access to 3+ material ensemblue robin.
@basty_gaming57503 ай бұрын
I think it got the idea of Boss Monster done, right Noir has limited immunity (This card is unaffected by your opponent's activated effects while it has 5 or more materials.), but gains bonus effects like it’s disruption being a quick effect if it has a Level 1 Purrely Monster as material, up to draw 3 on its own, more stats, attaching opponent's cards, and attacking multiple monsters in its own archetype
@lordgrub123453 ай бұрын
I generally don't agree. Unnafected by activated effects might as well be just a towers. Mix that with the fact it has an unninterruptable draw 3 which can get you stuff like maxx c and other handtraps and follow up, I wouldn't call it perfect design, even though it is fun

I hadn't really considered giving Purrely a chance until now. I had a general idea what they did, but I hadn't really been interested in actually playing them. Now I actually want to give them a try. I don't know if you do requests or suggestions, but would you be interested in covering the Fairy Tails? They're my favorite archetype, and also cute little guys (well, not _guys,_ but you know what I mean.) I'm always interested in getting other people's input about them; opinions, strategies, etc. Either way, great video, and the Gunkan one, too. I had always kinda disregarded Gunkans as just pack filler, and never really investigated what they actually do.

So, Purrely is one if my favorite decks of all time, and while there's a lot you got right, there's a few things that aren't, plus funny deckbuild stuff Firstly, yeap's grave ability and field ability CAN be used in the same turn, and is super helpful in making sure your Purrelys are where you want them, which can even help in board-breaking where you send it for Beauty's Pretty effect, and then shuffle back any graved Maindeck Purrelys Secondly, Happy Memory is only an additional attack ON MONSTERS, so a 3 Happy Happiness is still only punching face once, HOWEVER, if you have Delicious+ Epurrely Happiness in front of an opponent's monster with less than 2000 Atk, you can actually OTK by making them battle immune, then searching additional Happy Memories on each attack, provided you haven't Pretty'd. Thirdly, and much more importantly, Noir is only immune to ACTIVATED EFFECTS, so any passive/continous effects can punch a hole in it's otherwise infallible armor, most notably Equip Spells and Skill Drain, which hoses the whole deck. Now for some funny deckbuild stuff Diviner is a great engine for Purrely, as it's a way to get Purrelyly without a discard, and in veing a special summon, can bring said Purrelyly under Street's protection if you have it in hand. Normal Diviner, send Trias Hierarchia, and then Tribute Diviner with Trias to summon. This also gives the deck access to Chaos Angel for Board Breaking, or just protection if you pull it off somehow. Trias isn't even a hard brick, since you can discard it for any Purrely Quick-Plays Sharely allows the deck to have a much more proactive turn one, that, with some (very common) hands, can leave you with 2 untargetable Beautys AND a 5 Mat noir, alongside a standby-phase Pot of Greed (or more if you get lucky)

Awesome video, but slight correction. Expurrely Noir is unaffected by activated effects, not everything. So passive effects can still work on it like Buster Blader Dragon Destroyer Swordsman and Buster Dragon combo, the trap card Ultimate Creature of Destruction, and that one Scareclaw boss monster. I was playing Purrely and summoned Noir, but it was still affected by both Buster Dragon and Buster Blader's passive effects.

The hardest part of playing Purrely for me for the first time with the duel trials a few weeks ago was figuring out how to attach the quickplay spells. I went through a few matches wasting quickplay spells that didn't attached when I used them, even now I'm not 100% sure on how to use them properly to attach them.
@CourtesyKiwi3 ай бұрын
Essentially the 4 Purrely xyz (Plump, beauty, happiness and noir) each have a effect to attach a Purrely quick play Spell after activation! So just remember after every use of your qp spells if you have a Purrely xyz on the field you can attach it to them! (Also you can only do this 3 times on each xys)
