I have just started the hobby at the start of September and I have well over 2000 points and half are painted of stormcast eternals, I picked up the dominion half for £45 and then added from ebay. I have spent about a 1/3 of what I would have thanks to ebay.

I am just starting to get into AoS thanks to Soulbound and your fantastic lore videos getting me hooked on the setting and am still trying to decide on which faction to collect, so your timing is perfect. With your help I should be able to narrow the list down from wanting to collect all of them to only wanting to collect most of them....

So in theory. Sigmar also getting certain dead souls to be stormcasts. Felix could be made into a stormcast so he could show up in age of sigmar and join Gotrek

Thank you for this video. I ended up taking up on this advice and bought the Dominion box set. Figured that would be a great way to get back into the Stormcast and AOS all together. Now all I need to do get the SE Battle tome and the other new units and the awesome dragons when they come out.

I love the Stormcast! I have three armies of them and I’m currently working on a new one. I have a strong Liberator army. A Vanguard army and a magic army. I’m working on the Dragon army that has Ionus as it’s leader that makes drakeguard and the big Dragons battle line

Great video, thank you for this! I adore playing my Stormcasts but I feel there is even more lore that could be explored with them. When Soul Wars came out there were hints that the reforging was making them go crazy and lose their humanity. There were even stories of them killing innocent humans that got in their way. I'm still hoping that GW explores this and creates a fallen angels/chaos faction for them. The chaos Space Marines of AoS would be amazing and the minis would be so epic! I love the models as is and I'm super excited about the new dragons but I just think it would make a great story to explore.

I didn't want to play AoS originally. I got pulled in via Underworlds and the original 1st edition starter was just put on clearance so I picked it up for cheap. I typically gravitate away from the really evil or gross stuff and I'd painted up my Steelheart's Champions and liked both how easy it was and how they looked. I love playing the Stormcast Eternals and have had a good time collecting this army. I'm to the point now where I'm branching out from the Hammers of Sigmar to the Hallowed Knights (because, well, Gardus Steelsoul) and I have found that random purchase from the clearance rack to be a really good decision. Totally agree with your three pillars here. The new Battle Tome really lets you do more with your models, too.

The stormcast are heros who sjowed valor in life, But it doesnt have to be a blade, it can be as humble as a boy running into a fire to help his trapped sister, or as grand as a soilders final stand. As distant as a farmer who put his heart and soul into feeding the starving. Their a band of humanities greatest. And personally I truly love the idea that though their power is great, their humble faction of people seeking to do there best to protect man. Their awesome. totally irravokabley awesome. (But itd be cooler if they existed in the warhammer fantasy, as a group that would strike when they were needed most)

I just wish that SCE designs were a bit more simple, but those have been getting better bar the weird helmets. But I have a printer for that. Also a SCE army that's only 11 models is pretty attractive.

I'll be honest, I've been guilty of dumping on Sigmarines quite a bit. To the point where people have rightly told me to pipe down, that I'm an old grognard, etc. You know, if you really want to play SCE, don't let an old grognard like me tell you not to! A lot of SCE hate comes from the fact that they were heralds of AoS when WHFB was ended. Lots of WHFB players like me didn't like GW ending their game in favor of this new, half-baked (at the time)...thing! That, and the aesthetic is something more out of World of Warcraft and not Warhammer. And the thought, "Ugh, 40k has so many Marines. We play Fantasy to get away from Marines. Now, we have Marines in our Fantasy!" Marines...in MY fantasy? It's more likely than you think!

I used to love Stormcast, they're my order army. But man, I main Skaven and getting my shit smashed constantly by Stormcast just made me lose my love of them. Annihilators suck.

To be fair Skaven are in really bad place right now. So its less on the SCE and more on the way skaven transitioned into 3.0

Stormcasts definitely got a big improvement in 3rd ed. The only thing I'm disappointed in is that the Stormhosts themselves have very lackluster rules (asides from Astral Templars) and the Lord Exorcist's spell being useless against Daemons and Undead.

I also found your comments helpful about how Stormcast are often for sale used since it is a very popular faction. To rephrase Pirates of the Caribbean At Worlds End: Because normal humans only die. Stormcasts are taken, body and soul, to a place not of death, but of purgatory. The worst fate a person can bring upon himself, stretching on for eternity, with everything that was once part of your very soul and identity being chipped away, bit by bit, until there is nothing save for the Storm. That's what awaits the Stormcast in their Reforging.
