Great series review, man! The Expanse has been on my radar for a while, but I've been putting it off due to it being a reasonably chunky series. Having just heard how much loved it (and how it reads pretty fast), I think it's time I dive in! It sounds right up my street - I love science-y stuff, and found family stories, especially if they have well handled diversity/inclusivity. Thanks for the nudge with this one - fingers crossed I'll get to Leviathan Wakes early in the new year 👍

Great review! I read (or rather listened) to Leviathan Wakes as one of my first experiences with audiobooks and did not enjoy at all. Nevertheless I firmly believe that it was my fault as I didn’t focus enough on listening. As a result, I lost track of the story and found it confusing (especially with the protomolecule stuff). After hearing all the raves on Booktube, I have been convinced to give The Expanse another try, and your review here is like a big convincing fanfare! Thanks

@@alving4tube I could not imagine doing audiobooks for these as the science talk gets soooo heavy at times. I promise reading it at your own pace will make it a lot easier.
