Agreed. Some people claim low porosity and it’s actually product buildup 🤭

I love CynDoll and she does come with the science of hair BUT she does not come with hair growth results and receipts... I tend to take the advice of influencers who Actually have a lot of hair and hang time or long hair because they ARE doing something right despite Cyn Doll science. Cyn doll does come with science but her hair does not show hang time. Would I shampoo weekly (me/no) but I find value in what this lady says about shampoos.

I've always shampooed 1-3x per week. My hair just looks, feels, and behaves better when its squeaky clean. I keep it short and tapered, but even when it was your length I was a frequent shampooer.

Yes, the frequency of shampoo depends on products used, style worn, as well as scalp health. Once a week used to be my shampoo schedule. I currently shampoo every 4 - 5days and my scalp and hair thank me.

Yes! Everytime I feel my scalp like really itching and it’s a lot of sebum buildup I immediately wash it! For me it’s like every 5-7 days I’ll wash it, cause my hair grows better when sebum isn’t present.

Everyone’s hair is different if your hair is okay with it won’t be the same for everyone. No matter what kind of shampoo I use my hair just doesn’t like to be shampooed every week even when I do oil treatments as pre poo or heavy masks it’s just the same, in the past when I stopped shampooing my hair weekly it started to grow so fast and when I came back now to washing it with shampoo every week it became weak, brittle and grows much much slower (using thick or lighter products as leave in it’s just the same), I’ll just go back to shampooing twice a month and co washing in between my hair grew faster without me even trying to do anything to it as it return the scalp is less dry from shampooing…

Im about to start doing this. My hair is always dry after shampooing it, but when I cowash in between it’s so soft and my curls pop. A curl cream helped and I didn’t even have to use a gel. I’m also going to start doing clay treatments

@if she so pleases. I would think washing hair less, but when you do just use a clarifying shampoo. Washing weekly could be counter productive. Tangling, detangling, combing, styling, blow drying. The -ings.
@AA-yc9dq
@AA-yc9dq 2 жыл бұрын
The more I wash my hair (no more than ever 5-7 days) the less I have to detangle. It doesn’t get as dry and there’s not loads of shed hair which is usually the main culprit for me

Detangling week old hair is different and quicker process than detangling month old hair. Tangles come from time and dehydrated strands. Hair also sheds more when dehydrated and adds to the detangling time as well.

I do an ACV (apple cider vinegar) rinse every week, it really detoxes the scalp and removes product buildup. It works as a cleanser like shampoo but better in my opinion! I put half ACV and half water in a spray bottle, shake it well and spray it all over my head focusing on the roots, massage it into my scalp, let it sit for about five minutes then rinse. It leaves my hair feeling so light and thoroughly cleansed. The smell is something to get used to lol but I promise once you rinse it out your hair won't smell 😅
@personmcdudeguy
@personmcdudeguy 2 жыл бұрын
@@felin_de_la_nuit Are you sure that's not too acidic? The pH would be 3 which is very low for what hair needs and on the edge of damaging it. Maybe a mix of 1:10 or 1:15 would be less damaging? It only takes a few drops of ACV per gallon to bring the pH of water down from 7 to 5.
@denyshadials5702
@denyshadials5702 Жыл бұрын
@@personmcdudeguy It’s not too acidic, but it has less cleansing ability than a cowash. So it’s not a clarifier by any means ,and would easier to use as such if you styled your hair with little to nothing. If anything, it’s more of a balancer that discourages fungal growth, not a ‘cleanser’.
