I list down several reasons why you shouldn’t give the CAT exam again. Obviously, this doesn’t apply to all aspirants, but keep these in mind before you take a drop to prepare again for CAT again.

I totally agree with you,this examination has loads of luck involved (I personally know a friend who did not give a single mock and had no hopes ended up scoring 97.23 percentile) My advise would be never take a drop year or leave your job to prepare for this exam.I also agree with you on everyone having a different callibere and skills sets where no matter how much you try you cannot go beyond a certain point,I think most people will be in the range of 90-97 percentile.

Hello sir, I'm a BCOM graduate (2023), with a year gap till now I went to the institute and prepared for CAT 2023, and I'm going to re-attempt CAT 2024. So sir, it'll be a two year gap by then! Will it affect my profile? And,I'm currently looking for a job, to fill in my gap. But all the vacancies are for the BOP(Voice process), and one of my senior said, it's better not to opt for the voice process, work for the related role like accounts or finance. Don’t burn yourself out too early. Stay consistent with your preparation but don’t go too intense at it too soon.

There’s no sectional cut off at IMT. Overall cut off was above 90 for IMT G.

Hi, the timing of this video couldn't be more apt. I have recently decided to re-appear for CAT. Profile: GEN, M: X- 10 CGPA, XII- 77, UG- 87.9(BBA) and work ex of 19+6 months. I'll be 25 next year. I was laid off in September 2023 and decided to appear for CAT and apply for job roles as well. With whatever prep I could muster in the succeeding 3-4 months, I could only get calls from two tier 2 institutes and I let go both of them in favour of another attempt. The reason why I'm taking another attempt is because I believe I can do better with a proper preparation(Scored 77 in CAT) - which I couldn't do in my previous attempt as it was an attempt with a rushed preparation. Even though I have applied for multiple positions over the last 5/6 months, I have not received any responses thus far. This has reaffirmed my stance to reappear for CAT as well. Even though I have belief that I can get at least 95 with the preparation, there's of course the fear of luck running out on that very day. I'm awaiting the results for MHCET but I believe JBIMS would be asking for too much. I am worried and anxious about this situation and would really appreciate any advice/suggestions.
