I can't say I'm one of the day 1 players (I started playing PGR few days after it's global release) but I can agree, the gameplay was really good and surprisingly smooth in my potato phone except if there's a heavy combat where it lags a bit The issues on its first few days of release didn't affect me at all and just kept playing until this day :)

3:49 That's also something that I really like about PGR, it doesn't have that many characters compared to other Gacha games like Arknights or FGO but I think it's a good point for me since we can have the chance to test all of them since they are not a lot of characters unlike a game like Arknights, you can obtain new characters but ended up not using them since you were already investing into someone else and ressources in Arknights (or other Gacha games in that matters) can be gone really fast so you ended up using the same characters as before and not using them. So yeah, even if ressources in PGR can be gone really fast as well you can still build everyone since there's not a lot of characters, it will consume more time (and serum) than anything.

The combat feedback in this game is so satisfying, even though some of the content can get very hard (looking at you Norman). The reason why I started the game in the first place is coming soon (S-Vera). I'm so excited for her, but honestly so many things after that look amazing in CN. Hands down my favorite gacha game.

I was there day 1 on global after finding clips of the rosetta fight on CN and being very interested. Although, while it wasn't the controversies that drove me away I just kinda stopped playing. However, I recently picked the game back up after seeing the the hyperreal lee stuff and I fell back in love. Especially with bluestacks getting proper controller support the game FEELS so much better.

I hope Wuthering Waves will follow PGR's model. From the dark narrative, gacha and monetization, gameplay, and music. Started playing PGR during Luna's release, and kept playing after that, the combat in this game is probably the best I've ever seen in any gacha game including Genshin.

@@elias4472 I think it'll actually be beneficial for Kuro if they implement a "more fair" gacha and monetization system. In any industry, underdogs tend to provide more incentive specially in the beginning . However, I've seen a developer once implemented such because they don't want to implement a ultra-predatory system cause they believe it'll hurt the game in the long run. If WW implements a gacha on par or even worse than Genshin, then I think it'll be detrimental at least for a certain period. Being said, I truly hope they don't look at the likes of Genshin for monetization. PGR is a better model, if not the best. Either follow PGR or better yet improve on it.

The orb system and core passives of the characters can be pretty complicated for the first time player especially with how fast paced the game is, but once we get used to it nothing beats the satisfaction of spamming 3-ping orbs or core passive and matrix dodge to obliterate everything.

day 1, still playing, i never lasted more than 6-7 months in a gacha game, pgr was the first to surpass that limit, and thats because even with the challenging gameplay its still one of the more lightest gacha games out there, easy to get the characters as f2p (still right now i become a 60% whale), good story, music, etc.

after trying almost wellknown gacha games out there, only PGR worth the crown of F2P Friendly King with actual fkingood gameplay . it's still surprised till this day many gacha game release after PGR still cannot optimized how the gear system and progression like in PGR , Godly soundtrack , smooth animations and model -(one of the fews game when the model look even better than the illustration ). good story , good world building , enviroments and characters, modern and ergonomic menu design . Still the only gacha game f2p can afford every good limited character by just playing casually with the 100% rate up banner and permanent weapon banner.

I only installed days after launch after I saw the gameplay from my friend, but goddamn this game just gets better over time. As a f2p I am thoroughly enjoying the gameplay and story and it also takes a little bit of my time to grind which is really useful. Gameplay is very satisfying once you get the hang of it and you can enjoy fighting hard bosses. Story wise, for me it had a rough start but it didn't turn me off, but when you get past chapter 8 things will just get better. I Really recommend this game to others.

Played day 1 and the game wasn't for me AT THE TIME. A month before Global's anniversary, a friend of mine told me to check it out again and I was really impressed with how many improvements they've made into the game and I checked what CN was having and definitely wanted to get in on it. On the very same day my friend was also telling me about Wuthering Waves which is going to be a direct competitor to Genshin and now there's only hype for me.

Looking forward to Zenless Zone Zeros release. I am a veteran on a game called WARFRAME which has amazing graphics, gameplay is fun and weapons can literally break the game. Some characters with the right setups are basically unkillable. It is a Grindy game but is fun when you become op. Story of quests is quite good especially with the new war storyline. I recommend playing it as it's worth hundreds or even thousands of hours playing it. You can whale characters and weapons but some are locked behind certain events and storylines. I just hope I'll be able to play it again in the future.

day 1 player here, and as of right now I don't see any reason to quit the game. This is the only gacha game that I played that is respectful to my wallet and time and also have an enjoyable battle mode. I spend money in this game not because I have to but because I'd love to. I never questioned anything about this game except for the GLB marketing team being kinda incompetent. Tho unlike the other game that game me a negative IMPACT and no signs of improving the game despite having the budget and manpower of doing so, when I see CN's new patches I really could see their desire of making the game better. I like it that they have a harmony of gaining income by making quality characters, unlike in the other game that is just press e and q then woo ez money.

facts tho for weapon pulling, it's not guaranteed when you select the target, you have 80% chance to get it but you can get 10% chance on other weapons (no they are not all randoms, each target comes with it's own 2 weapons you can get in that 10% which is still alot better than anyother gacha games really.)

I was a day 1 player but stopped after 2 weeks, got busy with work and that time, Genshin has most of my time after work. But Im returning to PGR every month or two 😂 until I got bored of Genshin's gameplay and hated Honkai's gacha system. I came back because I'm craving for a fast-paced and hard gameplay. And seeing how good CN, TW and JP versions are, I think I made a good decision to come back to this game. 🙂

I stuck with PGR when it first came out back in 2019, and was hoping for the day that the global client came out. When it did, I was overwhelmed from the gameplay, story, and lore of the game. Sure, presentation was hard at first, but I got used to it. And boy it did not disappoint. I've been with the game since launch and see it grow over every patch. And the thing is? It's only going to get better.

For people comparing this to honkai impact 3rd Long story short: Honkai has bettery story, emonotinal scenes, combat is ok, two open world (a post honkai odyssey very good). The downside is that the game has a bad gacha, to farm arctifact you basically have to be a whale. Not f2p friendly Pgr: It has a good story, not comparable to honkai tough. The combat system and the ost are insane. The bosses are way harder than honkai. Forget dragon HoT spam or HoS bonking. If you don't doge correctly you die, simple as that. Pgr gives you unique adredaline in combat, a unique rush that you feel with bosses. Honkai gives you adredaline in some peak cutscene of the story. Both are good Ps: I'm waiting for star rail and wuthering waves of course

Story is more of a personal taste, i don't like honkai story for example and i think PGR has a more interesting story + i don't have to search for a bunch of side content that aren't in the game Just to understand things that are relevant to the plot, honkai has Peak emotional moments though but it's just that for me, any other thing is kinda méh. Edit: i'm not saying it's bad, it's not that interesting to me to actually try to learn more about outside the game.

Ngl, the only reason I haven't tried PGR is because there's no PC Client. I know of Bluestacks and other phone emulators, but i just don't want to do that, since i also like playing on controller. Definitely does look good and wouldn't discredit it.

If it helps the current version of bluestacks actual has full controller support, and it's actually how I play PGR. It takes a moment or two to keybind everything to your liking, but its not that bad of a process.

You can try LDplayer for low-end friendly emu. With controller support too. I think the keybinds for pc client will be similar to an emu, especially the pings(these is just my speculation, they might have something in their mind). The skills from your pet is the thing that bugs me, how will they work with that?

I play it on bluestacks with a controller and have had no issue, you are able to freely customize your button placement but I do agree a dedicated pc client would be better.

I played day 1 but quit after a couple months due to them not bringing the qol changes to global fast enough, since I played on other servers previously. I must admit it was nice to know what my stigmatas did. The only issue with this video is that it doesn't give any reason as to why we should play in 2022. It should be renamed to just "Why you should play punishing gray raven". Also when comparing pity rates, I find that it's important to mention how fast you acquire those summons, though iirc you get them faster in pgr than genshin anyways.

Ideally you'll want to build a team around a certain element so for example in this video I mainly play an ice team consisting of lucia chrome and wanshi all of which are part of the ice element. Also each are a different role lucia is a damage dealer chrome is a tank and wanshi is a support. KZbinrs like rexlant and spider 2B have good guide/build videos that you can use to build a team.

I very much agree about those being repetitive, but yes there are new stuff now, Mother Structure is available under Celica Class and you can modify the difficulty, also the new characters have interesting gameplay styles, Garnet and Empyrea, this patch's Babel is insane The Limit Break is also insane, a bit too insane for my taste, hope you find something you like if you download it

Nah, you're good. The current "meta" teams are in the process of being phased out at this point. In all honesty, I avoided starting playing Honkai Impact 3rd for the same reason as you, but I started PGR a couple months ago. The game's only been out Globally for a little over a year now, and I'm almost caught up with S Ranks I missed, just need 2 more and I'll be set to just sit back and nab the new S Ranks as they come out.

It's always a good idea to jump into PGR. They have an amazing system to get new players caught up level-wise and really just shower you in resources. Playing A Rank characters is totally valid until you can catch up with pulling some of the S ranks. Since you can literally farm A ranks to S+ rank for free, they can even outperform S ranks at times. All the characters get regular reruns and all events are archived in-game so you don't miss out on any lore either.

Tbh the game is still good to play even now. A Ranks are amazing in this game and you can freely obtain shards through interludes. Also some A ranks have been getting buffed.

As other people have said, it’s definitely 100% worth playing and with how generous the game is it shouldn’t be too difficult to catch up on missed characters and content over the past year. Overall it’s always a good time to get into it with all the above mentioned and its not like FGO or Granblue where there’s just so much content that has been done completely with no foreseeable plans to bring back that content so in those games if you missed out than yeah it would be too long (both being at around the 5-7 year mark now compared to PGR’s 1 year on Global and 2.8 on CN). Also there are no truly limited units in the game besides the NieR collab (which will most likely get a rerun in a few months on Global) so as mentioned you can literally get everything with enough time and investment. It’s just that for brand spanking new characters they are “timed limited” kinda how like some games that are funded by Console publishers are timed exclusive to consoles like PS4 or Switch before they eventually go multiplatform for PC and everything else. Though in this case the character after their patch only disappears for 2 patches (roughly 2 months) before being added into the regular pool and rotational banners at an 70/30 rate (for the unit) instead of 100 at pity 60 pulls.

PGR has been out about a year now so you wont be missing much compared to some gachas that have been out for years and years, the characters go on rotation, you can farm shard to unlock characters and the A ranks in this game are good and are still in some meta comps till this day so Id say give it a shot and see if you like it!
