I have come to believe I don't doubt God for anything and recognize my hope is in Him.

good morning ☀️ hmm…deep thoughts this early morning. Really can visualize what Mark said about beliefs not being chain links but more of a concentric circle. Love the thought keeping Jesus in my core. Truly what is in my outer ring doesn’t impact me. 💕🍃

Mark reminds me a lot of Dallas Willard. Soft-spoken and full of relevant practical knowledge.

When I first came across C.S. Lewis’s words, “Aim at Heaven, and you’ll get earth thrown in; aim at earth, and you’ll get neither,” it was like a light bulb went off in my heart. For so long, I had been so focused on making life work down here-worrying about the day-to-day stuff, whether I was successful enough, or if everything would come together the way I hoped. And honestly, I just felt more tired and empty the more I tried. But then Lewis’s simple truth reminded me that when we focus on the bigger picture of God, on eternal things, somehow all the more minor stuff here starts to fall into place. It’s not like everything suddenly becomes easy, but peace comes when I’m not trying to control it all. My focus shifts; in a way, I can let go of trying to force the outcome I think I need.

I'm not sure what kind of pencil this will render, but here goes. My mama had a thing she would say when she was disrespected. Not out loud, just to me. "As good as you are and as bad as I am, I'm as good as you are, as bad as I am". Touche`🕊🙏🏻⚘️

Any Scripture to support what was said?

Great question. I think generally speaking this principal rings out true in many biblical examples. One that comes to mind is King Saul who was so concerned with his reputation, that he unintentionally created for himself a poor reputation. In contrast David was concerned with the things of God and received all the things Saul was 'aiming' for. Perhaps a good scripture would be: "seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:33 Anyway, just my two cents! Great question -tim

Here are a couple of verses to consider: Colossians 3:2 - “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” This verse challenges us to focus on what matters-on God and eternal things. It helps us remember not to get too caught up in the stuff of this world that can be so distracting and fleeting. Matthew 6:19-21 - “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven... For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” This passage speaks to how when we chase after earthly things, they don’t last. But when our hearts are focused on God, that’s where our true treasure lies-and that’s eternal.

Your quote of Scripture “ seek 1st the Kindgom of God …” was exactly what I shared with a friend when I sent this video to him & was sharing how it showed me that I felt we were both ( trying to get our dreams / out come to come to pass … instead of seeking wholeheartedly where God is & wants in the relationship between us ! Thank you . Never saw this video before . Thank you for daily inspiration. I find you helping direct my spirit continually back to my CREATOR !🙏♥️

I think I get it. By focusing on the arrow (God's Direction) not the striving for target (me playing God), I fix my eyes where God is shooting my life.
