Completely depends on the matchup. Some champs you need boots in order to deal with things like Sett or Darius or Aatrox.

Vs Darius I'd argue you can run magical, sett and aatrox are like THE swifties matchups so yea u need them there

It feels so bad taking magical footwear and needing to sell boots late game and you just don't have a rune.

games rarely go far enough to sell boots, and even then you got free boots up until that point, there are plenty of runes that run out of usefulness, but they already carried their weight, like demolish after all towers, cash back at full build etc.

You’re trolling if you don’t rush t2 boots on Teemo dude. You’re literally giving up lane pressure from minutes 3-10 in far too many matchups. Renekton, fiora, irelia, Darius, even garen with t2 vs a Teemo with blasting wand is an auto-lose. Greeding for an earlier powerspike is an inconsistent strategy, but you’ll probably win with it due to other factors in the game that aren’t reliable: such as your opponent fucking up drastically before you do
