Private sellers. Have a mechanic you trust inspect and test drive it. Used car dealers are very good at blatantly lying to your face. Private sellers are usually upfront and honest, and the liars are a lot easier to pick out and just walk away from the sale

@@luigiprovencher best way to go. Trust yourself and walk away if something doesn't feel right. Better to miss a deal here and there than to have buyers remorse
