Sounds like you need to move closer to a Porsche mechanic. I’ve owned several vintage Porsches and they have been trouble free beyond regular maintenance. I owned a 1987 Carrera and Turbo. Both need to have their valves adjusted every 5 years or 20k miles. That’s the most expensive service, just under $500. I did my own oil service which was straightforward on both cars. For 911s have a pre inspection done before purchase also be sure the cars maintenance is fully documented. Once you get into water cooled Porsches they have more issues and they are more labour intensive. Now I own a 1959 Porsche 356a, these cars are easy to work on. They also need their valves adjusted, every 3k - 5k miles but that’s under $300, it’s a simple procedure for anyone to do.

Man 10 years flies when you are having fun! I remember when you got your Prius! I found your channel back when searching for shoes and watches. Glad to see your Prius is serving you well. I recently bought a Tesla Y and have been loving its efficiency and overall “fun” factor. However I’m always a Toyota guy as well.

Just watched your video on the 1991 Oakland fire you don't look old enough to have been recording 33 years ago😅

I drive a Prius 2011 and would like a Porsche Cayman. More likely to buy the compact Tesla when it comes out in a year or two. I don’t drive that much either and prefer to invest my money at the moment.

I do generally like Teslas, although I no longer like Elon Musk, so I’m sort of holding off for now.

You don't drive much. If you did, the calculus changes dramatically. I drive ~20,000 miles/year. I also have had some drives where the average speed was
