@@nathanquintal I present to you a scenario: Master Yi player, with the stereotypes against them, shouldn't be that mentally capable. Okay, assuming that, let's assume their reaction time is something slow like 0.5s (i.e. they see their Q off CD it takes 0.5s for them to press and activate it). This 0.5s is _definitely_ more than if somebody is spamming Q repeatedly so that it goes off the instant that it comes off CD (maybe there's a very slight 0.01s delay or something between Q presses during the button spam). Now if we wanna be more realistic, even if you're piloting a brain dead champion, I highly doubt it takes you 0.5s to react to an ability cooldown timer being finished and the ability becoming ready to use. Even if the delay is something more realistic like 0.05s (1/10th of the speed in the scenario), it will _still_ be faster to spam Q So no, it's not for no reason or to "look cooler". It's to eliminate the factor of possible flawed reaction time and to use the ability as close as possible to the instant that it is off cooldown
