I talk to myself a lot. The life hack that helped me the most when it comes to speaking was switching to talking to myself in English. This way I practice speaking daily without even thinking about it. Also, it makes it a lot easier to pick up on grammar and pronunciation mistakes, easier to work on your accent, too!

Veronica speaks really good english, I didn't have any idea that she was from Russia until I saw a video of her saying there. That remind me Linguamarina, who is another russian youtuber, whose english is also advanced but her russian accent is very strong, of course there is nothing wrong with having an accent, but she believes she doesn't have an accent, while Veronica never show off about how good is she with her english skills thats why I like her videos :)
2 жыл бұрын
This is it. That is exactly the point. Just my personal experience: I never learnt English in school, I didn’t take any “official course.” Everything I learned I did from movies, books, articles, programming manuals, etc. I understood everything (almost), I could write perfectly (almost), still, I had problems with speaking, but I never focused on grammar, because I didn’t know about it… I also didn’t have any others (seemingly connected) problems. The main point here is that speaking is a skill (skill) and just as any other skill it needs to be trained (😁skills need training😂). That’s it… That’s all… 🙂🙂🙂

for anyone here, just go and speak more english with people. when you don't speak a language , the part in your brain that is responsible for forming sentences and recalling vocabulary quickly degenrates. try speaking to your self in your head in that language , that will help. but most importantly use the language for conversation. other than english i speak another language and because i don't use it as much , it is harder for me to form setnences and recall words, but there were periods in my life that where i spoke it more and it improved.

I agree; the video has good advice, and a lot of it can apply to any new language (not only English). By the way, "advices" is basically never used in English: just say "Your advice always helps". The technical term for this is a _mass noun._ If you really want to use a plural, you can say "pieces of advice".
