Really nice video! Didn't know about Pangas until after my purchase of my boat, but super informative. I think all in all I would've gotten a traditional boat as opposed to a Panga, but good to know for future reference! 🙂

Curious, if you don't mind sharing, if you have to pay an annual registration fee to have you Panga in Mexico ? Or just a one time up front initial fee ? Both ? Also, is there an annual Mexico fishing license fee ? Is it more expensive for USA residents vs Mexico residents ? Does it include all fish species, or do you have to pay more for the larger pelagic fish like marlin, swordfish, tuna etc. ? Very impressed by the way with your Panga build and getting it outfitted the way you wanted. Well done !
@BlueRockAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Yes, we pay for annual registration. It was about $75 usd for a year. Yearly fishing license is less than $40 usd and is the same for everyone. They sell daily licenses as well. You can fish from shore without a license. No other tags are needed for pelagic species. If your boat is from the USA you can get a 10 year permit online and it's pretty cheap. I think it's called a TIP permit. Thanks!

I just talked to Panga Boats USA out of Florida. I think I’m going to order one. I like the Yamaha Panga 22 B/A model with the deeper sides. I’m looking at the 115 Yamaha with a jack plate. I have a place on the Manatee River in Bradenton Florida. The Panga is great for the skinny waters around Tampa Bay, plus I can run off shore a few miles and fish. This is why I wanted the deeper B/A Panga. But your boat looks like deep also. What is the measurements of your boat? I watched all the build videos. Did I miss the size? Great looking boat and well thought out design.. Sorry, I just finished the video and you answered all my questions…lol

Hey River Rat! Congrats on your new panga! Our panga is 24 feet long, the beam is 6 feet and from the deck to the top of gunwales is about 24 inches. Thanks for watching our videos. We look forward to hearing how your new boat is doing in the future. Take care amigo!
@riverrat46313 жыл бұрын
@@BlueRockAdventures I have not ordered it yet. I live in Indiana, but have a vacation home in Bradenton Florida. My next trip down we are going out for a sea trial. There 22 Panga is 23’11” on deck. I think the 115 should push it just fine. I’m used to skinny waters with my mud boats. So the Panga was is a great choice with a jack plate. They will run in 5-6in of water from what the dealer tells me..

You want a Panga because it's 25 feet long, needs a small outboard to go fast , you can easily tow it with a mini van , other front wheel drive vehicles that can tow up to 3500 pounds and you can buy a 25 foot Eduardono Panga bare hull for a little over $10,000 !!!! I tow with a front wheel drive mini van , it pulls a 1400 pound Panga, a 700 pound Venture aluminum Trailer , a 50 HP ETEC outboard , gas, gear etc. out of the steepest saltwater ramps very easily. Obviously I wouldn't try pulling the boat out of the water from a beach. Pleasantly surprised how stable a 25 Panga is considering it's narrow beam and a tiny 50 HP Evinrude Etec will give me a top speed of 22 knots !! So easy to trailer by yourself, handle at the dock, very easy to guide the Boat onto the trailer at the ramp. I have a 25 foot Eduardono Corvina , it's Dark Green , every time I go to the boat ramp people come up to me and ask questions about the boat. Very unique kind of boat up here on Long Island. Hundreds and hundreds of Makos, Grady Whites, Pro Lines, Aquasports, Sea Rays, Downeasters and 2 Pangas that I see. I highly reccommend Eduardono Pangas because they're more refined , available in about 15 different colors and the bare hull is very fishable if you don't want a deck. You can also get a full fiberglass deck, a wood deck. So many different options with this boat. Eduardono also sells nice bench seats ( like a row boat has side to side). I tiller steer from the back and have a small console forward for electronics and a compass and I have a 70 quart Swingback Cooler Seat . I have an 8 foot bimini top. Very nice setup! Perfect Boat for Long Island waters , I use it in the bay and ocean. No need for a 200 HP to go a short distance to the fishing grounds here. I burn about 2 gallons of gas each fishing trip!!!!!!!! Just make sure what transom height the Panga is, some are 25 inch and 20 inch , Eduardono comes standard with a 25 inch transom and my outboard was only 20 inch. Had to buy a 5 inch outboard extension kit to make it 25 inch. Bay Manufacturing if you're wondering makes the kit. Love the giant bow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Based on my experience, your towing situation might be different.

Can the panga hull handle rougher water or is it designed for smoother water? Thank you
@johnpalmer21582 жыл бұрын
I bought a 25 Foot Eduardono Panga and If I listened to one of the Panga dealers I'd be fishing with a tiny 16 Foot Aluminum boat. I told him I'd tow it with a 2017 Kia Sedona and right away he said I wouldn't have the towing power. What a bunch of crap I heard !!!! Growing up in the 1970's before this Pickup Truck craze, we towed boats with cars/station wagons and not once did me or my family have trouble pulling a 2500 pound wood boat /trailered with a 1973 Ford LTD. Big steep ramp, rear wheel drive wheel in slime and every time we pulled the boat out of the water. 24 foot wood boat with a galvanized trailer, maybe close to 3000 pounds when I think about it. My 25 Panga weighs about 1300 pounds, Motor about 240 pounds and the Venture Trailer weighs 700 pounds. Aluminum. Trust me, you don't need a pickup to tow this and pull it out of the water, assuming a decent ramp and it's not a beach launch. If I said I had a Ram 1500 with rear wheel drive , people would say I could easily tow a 25 Panga . If I say Minivan, no way , even though both vehicles have approx. the same power to weight ratios. Base Ram with 315 HP that weighs considerably more than a Minivan and has rear wheels spinning in slime as opposed to a Minivan with front wheels on drier pavement. 50 HP Etecs will push this easily over 20 knots, lunatics go 40 knots not knowing what's under their boat
@johnpalmer21582 жыл бұрын
I pulled my Panga out of the water with the Kia Sedona in Eco Mode and I didn't have to gun the engine. Came out nice and smooth like I was Towing my old 16 Foot Row Boat. My rig weighs 2400 pounds, my Van can tow 3500 pounds and I got 1100 pounds to spare. Of course I have trailer brakes, Kia says trailer brakes for any towing over 1000 pounds.
