I tried many times, and usually where I kinda failed was challenging the "do you have evidence / is it helpful" part of it and what helped (for me at least) was acknowledging that I was not wrong to have those beliefs (due to circumstances, relationships, the way I was raised, the way I tend to interpret things, etc) but that I was still able to choose that they had served their purpose and had to make room for new ones. A quote I like from another video I really liked was "what you are not changing, you are choosing" which is obviously unfair in some situations which are largely out of our control, but I think was a nice reminder that there are a lot of think you can control and accept a bit too easily!

You’re definitely not wrong for having those beliefs! Most beliefs are shaped during childhood, when our brains aren’t fully developed yet, all done unconsciously. So whether they’re true or false - since you were not aware of them in the first place, you can’t (or shouldn’t) be blamed for having them in my opinion. They’re just thoughts after all! I think it’s a process and the key is to create self-awareness. Once you do, I think your quote really hits the spot :) Good luck on your journey 💕
