As a child, I have never heard anyone say the truth more clear and concise as you. Its was like my heart was speaking to me, thank you so much for this.

The parents blame everyone but themselves. It’s the teachers, the social media, their friends, but never ask what did I do or rather didn’t* do to have raise a child that can trust and acknowledge me as their parent and loved one.

That’s true and unfortunate in a lot of cases.

I really want to share these to my parents but even if I do, I'm past caring there's nothing you can do when bond between parent-child relationship is broken... just like the video said it's all about THEM..

Yes. Narcissitic parents think they will always be needed regardless of their abuse.

It’s such a shame because narcissism is one of the hardest mental health issues to treat. And most people would never admit if they were a narcissist

Yep .I know first hand unfortunately 😢 but thats exactly what they feel jus don't give up keep trying is all I can say u can't make up for it but u can start giving them time from here on out. They'll come around if u give enough effort. Mine did and now we talk almost everyday their adults now.

@@ceethecounsellor thank u so much!! It is worth it! I regret being a young mother who was always chasing alcohol and men while I kept my kids aty mom's or their grandma's smh but I'm older now and realize it wasn't worth it. I've even left the guys alone now for 2 years and have been concentrating on my kids and myself

Excellent video! You hit the nail on the head! I'm so so glad that I did all of the things you said. I have a wonderful relationship with my daughters. I always made the time to sit down and just chat and hang out. I always ask them how their day went. As a result, they always come to me to talk about things. I get on great with all of their friends. I'm so blessed. I don't know, but it's like I always knew it was more important than anything else to care for them emotionally and psychologically. Maybe it's because I was raised by my grandparents and not my parents. Anyway thank God I did the right thing and was always there for my girls ❤

I literally had to talk to my dad about this today because every time I talk to him he's talking about something that's going on with him, I'll say "okay well you didn't even ask me how I was doing" and he'll say how you doing. I'll tell him, then that'll be the end of asking me any questions about myself.

As a parent now and never having a break, umm I think I’m going to care less if my kids want to talk me in their adult years. I’m skipping town once I know they are straight, deuces half of y’all think y’all were angels when y’all ran y’all parents down to the ground✌️😮‍💨

It’s not to say children are easy and always well behaved, but just that parents have more control the relationship with their kids than they sometimes perceive
