I experienced 100% this phenomena. I picked my photos to have 'grades' between 6 and 9 (no pro photos, just my 'natural ones'): I started getting -some- likes, but it was all from random women and they would not chat: then I went back to the most representative photos instead. ...things started to change for the better.(I also am a 'nerd': and did not hide it one bit, instead, I highlighted it in my profile) Very good advice, the 'niching' video is also very relevant and very good advice.

Makes a lot of sense but isn't there a paradox here? To have your profile shown to women on Tinder you need to be liked by most of them but to get dates only a small percentage will like you?

Yes - I didnt' want to delve too deeply here - but there is a sweet spot - and you have to make sure you'll appeal to an okay number of women.. To use an extreme example, if there's a guy with lots of tattos, he could make a tatoo profile for that niche - that would perform MUCH better than a regular un-niched one for example, because even though he's niching, enough women will really like the niche that it would actually increase his match rate. Same usually goes for OUtdoors, sports, fighting, musicians.. then you have things like meditation and yoga which tend ot do the SAME as a non-niched profle... there are a bunch of options... But yes it won't always result in fewer matches overall. Sometiems a bit less it's true.

I think online dating is much worse than it used to be across the board

Tucker Max's books detail at length why and how being a bad boy gets you lots of ladies. I laughed my way through them.

Off-topic what is your opinion on the rise of manosphere KZbinrs?
@SchoolOfAttraction8 ай бұрын
Hrm... IT's always tricky to lump ALL of them together into one basket - Obviously there are ones I like more than others - I thnk on average though, they're leading guys astray and sort of becoming the male version of 3rd wave feminists slowly but surely becoming the very thing they hate. And I think that's often the danger in any group that caters solely to the misenfranchised and doesn't look more holistically at the bigger picture. Men are certainly at a bit of a crisis point, things are certainly getting hard on men and especially younger men, and men from ethnic mintorities.... But I think the blame and following solutions provided by the bulk of the rising manosphere is going to do the world good.
