Interesting , I was listening to Coleman Hawkins last night and thought that players like George Lynch have got that jazz sax style . Very run oriented. And here you are thinking the same hours later .

True. The most finger-busy, fastest scale player I ever saw had my jaw dropping for about two minutes before his million notes that went nowhere had me, and the crowd turning and walking away without looking back.

What a great video. It's a lesson i need to improve on. Listen to a sax players and how they phrase a lick. It's statement, followed by answer. It's a musical conversation going on by the player. That can't happen by playing note after note without taking a breath. Thank You for this important reminder. Listen to BB King phrase his blues.
