What book would you recommend if any for a beginner?

Ive got a mccarty soap bar too, always been aware of its jazz tone, a fantastic guitar, beats any les paul I've ever tried.

Hi and thanks for your reviews. Correct me if I’m am wrong but it looks like most of the books out there don’t have too many songs. In fact, would you know of any book that simply goes from musical concept + technique … to a song that’s a musical example of the concept / technique … in a kind of increasing level of difficulty. If that makes sense. Something that combines the theory and skills with an actual song as example.

I bet two reasons the stop tail is so far back is 1. Add string tension to a 24 scale length. And 2 less break angle across the bridge, the reason some Gibson guys over wrap. But still at 24” it must be nice and slinky, its still got some of that Fender like twang but very very similar tone as my SG. I was going to mod a JV Modified I picked up for cheap to HH blacktop style, but I might just grab one of these being short scale with Gibson style bridge. Its very close to my SG in tone. But with the things I like about Fenders. Nice bluesy guitar. MIJ is always great craftsmanship.

This was such a great tuitional video. The fingerings used really nail the way Gaz would have written this song with limited knowledge of the chord names but a great ear for resolution and rhythm. Well paced and really well explained in an encouraging way. Thanks so much! Ps in the interude bit after the F#, rather than Asus resolving to Am(7), I'm hearing a strong D vibe. To get that, a regular C chord pushed to the 3rd fret (also fingering lowest string i.e. 5,5,4,o,3,o) fits well with the vibe of that F#.

My favourite is the third, from Down to the waterline. There lots of interesting licks in songs like Once upon a time in the west and Lady writer. Just an advice: could you mark each single lick? It would be easier to skip from one the next. Thanks for the video.

Thanks. Will do. I'm about to make the next video (4 more licks) and will put a time stamp in for those too.

Beauty us in the eye (or ears) of the beholder but for me 1. P90 2. Humbucker 3. Single coils. I just prefer the full fat, if not creamy, sound of P90s!

Hi there...i bought this amp after a lifetime of dreaming a Mesa 😅...this was the only one i could afford...i like it a lot❤...but few days ago i saw a video from a amp techinician, of a Mesa studio22 repair...he said a lot of very bad thinghs on this amp, like, it's a mess to repair, is really bad made, very low quality and so on...and people who commented totally agreed with him..😮 one even wrote that this amp was pure crap, very dangerous, and ready to catch fire !!!😮 OMG...are we studio 22 lovers all idiots?😅 Where's the Truth? Wasn't Mesa boogies solid as a rock? I'm so disappointed and a bit scared too😅😢...what do you think?😊

I've owned two of them and used both for a lot of gigs. No problems at all so far....

The Gibson sounds way better. The PRS sounds thin, no balls or character. The Mira just sounds like a cheap beginners guitar to my ears. And I own both Gibson and PRS guitars. No blind brand loyalty. The SG just sounds way better.

that first chord... that goddamn first chord. This is the first song I have ever learned, and the reason why I started to play guitar years ago, as amateur. It was challenging as a first song to learn because all of those bar chords, and at first that felt like climbing the everest, with that frustrating pain I felt on my left hand, which wouldn't let me finish the song! That first chord, I still have never learned to play 100%properly yet! You show a why to play different than what I have used so far. The 4th string played with the index, and the other three barred with the pinky or the ring finger. Either never really worked ahah
