Not everyone wants to be with people. I love being alone and being able to work at home and not interact with people would be a dream come true. Unfortunately during COVID people discovered being out in nature and camping and the woods, lakes and campgrounds have become overrun. The places l used to go to get away from people are now crowded with people.

Get a modern apartment close to third places and make an effort to get to know your neighbors. We have a group chat and a yearly party in my complex and have been taking on community projects like repainting the parking accesses ourselves. Saves money and builds community.

I have never in my life worked a job that I could do from home. And I don’t want to. But that being said, I’m not overly social. I don’t mind being alone, and I prefer it sometimes. So my little house is just fine with me. But I probably wouldn’t like it. If I worked from home, I would feel like I could never get out of this place. I know some people love it, I’m not one of those people. I always joke that I’m almost a hermit so the lockdowns didn’t really affect me that much. But I still want to get out of the house sometimes. And Work lets me do that.

Lol me being the weirdo loving having a dining room. We don't use it to eat often, mostly we host board game parties or D&D. Not having to put on pants for parties is my favorite party.

America changed in 2016 with that stultifying election, and it completely transformed in 2020 with that absolute tragedy that was the covid response. I spend almost every moment alone. I work alone, I eat alone, actually do eat at a dining room table! The only times I interact with anyone is when I go to the store, and that's torture because it's always some girl that obviously hates her job more than she hates men.
