My story as a carer for my husband with vascular dementia has caused me to hit a few headwind at the moment. I’ve been having anxiety attacks and last night in the middle of the night was uncomfortable with this. I would appreciate prayer for this ongoing journey where I need to definitely look at my tailwind and I do have so much to be grateful for. Pray for developing strategies so I can stay strong for the long haul are appreciated. I will take time to be in nature and be with my Lord and be with those who love and support me and I thank you for this beautiful start to every day with John and your team. John‘s voice and his smiling face bring me so thank you All for making this possible. ChrisW from Down Under.

Chris, thank you so much for being part of the Become New family and for reaching out. Thank you for sharing part of your story and reaching out, we are so honored to pray with you. Father God, we come to you and join Chris in prayer, asking for Your divine peace and guidance through this difficult time. Lord we ask you to be with Chris' husband and family, and all the medical team working with them. Please guide them in their decisions related to care, and for the talents and skills to provide the best care. Father God, I ask that Chris be aware of all the magnificent and glorious things that you bless her with each day. Lord, we are so grateful for all the headwinds and all the tailwinds, and the lessons found in them. Lord, we ask these things in the mighty name of Your Son, Jesus, Amen!--Rob

I laughed out loud when I saw the title today because of my tendency to self-whine over the headwinds in my life. What a beautiful imagery to refocus and realize tailwinds carry me and I do not even notice them. Today I will praise God for His tailwinds!

Ha ha Why My Life Is Easier Than Everyone Else’s, more like. It is embarrassing to me, sometimes, how many tailwinds and blessings I was given at birth and continue to be given. Suffering has come, of course, but it is much less than most other people. God, help me to share my blessings and minister to others, even when the wind is against me. ❤

Thank you for this. This morning the Lord brought me to the verse in Phil 3 about forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward for what lies ahead. I took a big leap of faith afterwards to share a project I've been working on. It's amazing when He speaks into our lives as a Friend.

I got accelerated thinking today! Somehow, I use to (...am still easing this in, though) that my life should be smoother.Every set-back became a huge self-pity and anxiety. If only this did not happen, if only that did not happen and so forth. I am gradually accepting what my ex,now late, boss used to say:"expect the unexpected!" A tailwind implies for some a pleasant boost, but the same wind hits others right in the face!!!!...and obviously the other way around at times. I am gradually accepting reality: Life is difficult! Fullstop. The sooner you accept it, the easier it gets. What is beginning to grwo in me is that somehow God is with me...not sure if He always causes the issues?....but He is IN it with me.Count it all joy when all sorts of troubles hits us....because it tests our faith and refines us. Pain, gets my serious attention!! it stops me in my tracks. May God help me to walk with Him...actually the other way around:..."to rest in Him and let Him do the walking!

Years ago, I heard a speaker say, "Someday, you'll be up here, telling your story." As I drove home, I wept as I told God, "I don't have a story!" Even then, I understood that the best stories are not about lives with nothing but tailwinds. The best stories are those in which the main character faces headwinds that seem insurmountable, and yet, somehow, they overcome. I have learned that I do have a story. I have many stories. Some of them are true and deal with my life. Others are fictional and explore the headwinds faced by my story's characters. Last night, my main character responded to the complaint of someone about a headwind they're all experiencing by getting the information they needed to overcome a little of the headwind they're facing.

I often thank the LORD every day for the blessings I know about, but especially the ones He does not even bring into my awareness. Sometimes, I get so excited to think that when I meet Jesus, He will reveal those unknown blessings to me, helping me to grow stronger in His love. Through earnest prayer and gratitude, let the LORD turn your battles into blessings, for He makes bad things good. He loves you more than anyone else!

Thanks for this. I just found out I have complex betrayal trauma from birth. Being born w fetal alcohol syndrome to an alcoholic mother and codependent passive father... Then neglect and abandonedment issues... Finally somebody has recognized that some people have chronic continuous trauma... Getting the right diagnosis has been a blessing for me... Trying to figure out why, turned me to God... But Still don't have an answer LoL
