Thanks! We've been experimenting with 3D printed parts ourselves. We even use a few in production. You might be interested in the Wilson Benesch tonearm - the body of which was made using additive-manufactured titanium I think.

DS Audio has a very expensive centering device that seems like it can't do much until you hear the difference which isn't small at all. The difference isn't heard as tone or timber or flutter or anything like that but an obvious improvement in clarity, focus and imaging. Gary Weavers review on The Audio Analyst has A/B on KZbin it is easily audible even on my laptop.

given the date listed, I was expecting the inclusion of what many consider a triumphant turntable arm suspension, the supatrack tone arm bearing, used on the blackbird tone arm. origin live has always been a top company producing superb products. glad to see they have grown. they used to compete directly with Michell engineering because both were selling modified Rega arms, with origin live considered slightly better , but they got a lot of complaints because of a somewhat casual order fulfillment. Michell went on to become famous for the classic gyro turntable, still a top 'budget " table, if one can call several thousand dollars cheap, and still a market contender today, while origin live went more into tonearms and higher prices for excellent product.

Hi Richard, this is actually a lecture from 2019 so a bit before the Supatracs time. We've gotten to know both Richard Braine and his design. Both are admirable. There are many aspects of the Supatrac which are brilliant. There are other roads it takes in design that we've already been down and avoid for good reason. I don't want to criticise too much out of respect for what Richards doing, but suffice to say we're still confident in the performance of our designs against competitors. Michell were famous for the Gyro decades before we were involved in tunrtables. We were modifying Rega's for a few years, but quite quickly started making every part of the tonearm ourselves. We were a very small business operating out of my dads (Mark) garage when we first launched in 1986, growing slowly in to the 2000's and then exponentially with Marks developments in tonearms and turntables. their were some obvious teething pains growing, but we now employ 12 people, manufacture everything in house and usually ship in under 2 weeks. Its interesting how we get known for different things in different circles, whether its the rega mods we do still carry our to upgrade customers existing rega arms, or our high end designs. But our entry level turntable/tonearm offering starts at less than half the price of a Gyrodec, and lets just say it would happily compete with it.

I had transrotor reference TT bought it for 33000€ in 2017 Sold it to 8000€ in 2020 after I bought an Aiwa Ap2200 vintage TT for 55€ sounds marvellous.

NAGRA REFERENCE TT is probably the most novel TT in at least a decade. Disappointing you didn’t mention it. A get that this is a sales pitch for your products more than an unbiased lecture.

He‘s not there to promote other brands and there have been gazilians of tech innovations not mentioned, as one could see the time was short, so, no NAGRA is irrelevant compared to many prior omitted, too. This was high-level, only. Not tech solution level, at all.

Lecture is from 2019. We only mention our own products at request at the very end of the lecture. The Nagra is an interesting design, but by no means the most novel. I'd be thinking Wilson Benesch.

I want to pick your brains sir! I can't get any answers. I got this cheap turntable and it doesn't have overhang over the spindle it's underhung..! by quite a lot about an inch. It's a straight arm but there's no such thing as under hung so what's going on is it a fault in the factory they cut it too short that's the only explanation I can think of it doesn't look like it was taken apart. Strange if you can give me any advice on what's going on a be good thanks Happy New Year. if you want to know it's a Stanton t62 can't seem to find any information on it either about the arm and pivot to spindle effective length doesn't say.

You may be putting lipstick on a pig. Save yourself the heartache and look at the Calypso table from Origin Live w silver tonearm. Just a suggestion.

Stanton are a reputable manufacturer so I'd be tempted to try an alignment protractor and see how far off, at all, it is. A cheap one will tell you if it's in the ballpark or if you search the internet you'll find free downloadable ones to print up. These obviously aren't precision but probably good enough to put your mind at rest. If alignment looks there or thereabouts forget about it and get back to enjoying your music. The T62 is a DJ turntable designed for scratching and back cueing, and not for top notch audiophile performance. The short arm is by design and not really a living room unit. You can always add an external 12" arm on a pedetal if you really want to bump up the performace and keep the tt.
