Why YouTube is Key for Podcast Discovery in 2024

Being on KZbin for discoverability is definitely key! Spotify being No 1 is in regards to audio podcast listeners only.

Man im so relieved to see that i am not the only one with a smaller youtube podcast audience. We just crossed 600 subs today. For me its the long game. There will always be an audience for my show and always be plenty of guests to have on. I feel it in my gut and thats why i started doing it. I feel like slower growth is more sustainable. Since this is my very first podcast and Im doing a lot of the bockend work i am learning all the things which will make my next shows in the future better overall. plus it will allow me to slowly build a solid team. how else are you promoting besides shorts? would love to have a real in depth breakdown of your specific show and all the things you are doing to make it work. What are your plans once you reach 1000 subs??

Thank you - this is very informative. Riverside has made recording video with our pod a natural process. The only issue we've been hearing from our audience is that the video appears glitchy (since we edit for audio, sometimes the video suffers).

You're welcome, and glad to hear Riverside has been beneficial for you! And I get the editing for audio bit. For what it's worth, I actually leave my video version basically unedited, just set the in and out point, and find viewers enjoy that more than all the edits. Of course, edit out any large portions of silence or distracting moments, but you can save the heavy edits for the audio, and create a clean edit just setting in and out points for video. What is the name of the USB C mic you can connect to iPhone please as most mics won't work?

If you have an iPhone 15, we recommend the Shure MV7+ with USB-C. Otherwise, Lightning to USB adapters have been flaky since iOS 17 and would recommend a TRRS headphone splitter instead of USB
