Calls a heavily modified yo-yo a "normal" yo-yo. It went from a yo-yo to a miniature diabolo/Bobbin. The moment they added the ball bearing for "new tricks" is when it became a miniature diabolo/Bobbin as the design was completely shifted to something new using an old design.

This is actually a blessing in disguise because when you're doing string tricks that can last up to a minute the yoyo might come back after a trick messing you up and since you don't get points after repeating a trick you messed up.

You can bind it if you tie the string then do an additional loop it still lets it spin freely but adds friction so it’s slightly easier to have it pop up.

anyways, you can do like a trick called the lock where you tie a knob into the yo-yo so it's gonna lock the building and you can do it like up and down you. You can pull it up with a simple tug

This is the hardest part of throwing. Learning this. Nohody can teach it to you like math and you cannot really give any advice other than "it goes like this". Fat string helps though. Back when I started 15 years ago all we had were highlights. Also I'm loving my plastic peak. Never thought I'd see the day I would be playing with a plastic yoyo other than novelty.
