Joshua schmidt got into worlds for 2024 by winning worlds 2023, Jess kotton is the one who got in twice via other means. (for both of these players it's the one of the team that qualified so it's necessarily just their achievement.)

I've always felt like people complain too much about the price of the game. People's view of what a hobby should cost is heavily influenced by video games, which are just absurdly cheap and are an unrealistic bar to judge things to. The complexity of the game itself and finding locals were always the bigger issues imo, you don't have to spend a lot of money to keep up with the game if you don't want to.

Don't underestimate how many people actually enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh

Yugioh is a game that teaches you that you can reprint the same card with a slightly different effect and so long as it's a little broken people will keep playing.

@@garcardosotan6172 it is not about the effects, Yu-Gi-Oh is famous for its aggressive short print policy. They print less cards per pack of the most powerful cards in the set and reprint them many time after with the same policy. That is why meta decks have insane prices and the rouge options are so cheap.
