It also helps that they share DNA, so it made him way more compatible to absorbing his power. And the reason why Yuji can take Cleaves to the face better than anyone else is because he's getting blasted by his own kind of energy. Megumi will likely have absorbed some of Sukuna's powers akin to him having been a vessel for some time, but not on this level. The thing that made Yuji capable to house Sukuna, is also the very same thing that if needed, could take down Sukuna. This has been a misconception spread too far. Yuji doesn't have Sukuna's CE anymore and Uraume confirms it this chapter. The same CE is what makes you resistant to an attack. Yuji has very little of Sukuna's CE so therefore very little resistance.

Sure Yuji was born "special", but being special isn't that special in this world. Toji was born with heavenly restriction. Gojo got the six eyes and the limitless. Even Shoko was born a master of reversed cursed technique. Being born special has never been enough in JJK. It's the price of admission to the high tier, but it's not a plain ticket to the top. Plus, people like Nobara, Todo, and Kusakabe all show that you can go far even if you weren't blessed from birth. For all we know, Sukuna doesn't come from any special lineage, either.

The slashes are the same but expressed differently. In other words, he likely can do dismantle too, but there are levels to cleave. Cleave being the basic one requiring a touch, dismantle is an expanded target technique, and the world cutter is a further expansion of the techniques target. Unknown if dismantle requires a specific binding vow

I think him effectively being the nephew of one of the greatest sorcerers in history does give him a huge leg up in the Jujutsu world, he's basically got one of the best bloodlines times like you said, the genetics from another insanely strong (still wasn't top dog in some other eras, but he had had a good technique to buy him time) sorcerer, I still won't say he's gonna be the best. Just like Sukuna was powerful in his era, there have been these other families that have had hundreds of years to grow and develop their own, we even saw with the Zenin. That was their whole way of life was breeding the strongest. While Sukuna is a savage, he is seeing that there are some potentially powerful sorcerers floating around in present era: Megumi (we saw he took almost immediate interest), Gojo over time of watching him through Yuji's eyes saw how good he was. Then you had the unicorn types, like Kashimo or Ryu, a few special types pop up every couple hundred years, that'd be Yuta, Geto, Yuki and Higurumi. Given enough time, because of what their techniques afford them, they could become massive threats. Megumi and Gojo are pedigrees from their lineage. We don't know if the Gojo clan suffered any side effects of their family breeding, but we see with the Zenin and Kokichi's lineage, they suffered Heavenly Restriction, but the effects are different. My point is the world was smaller when Sukuna was around. It's gotten alot bigger, and Sukuna is having an opportunity to see what a larger world of different powers can afford him. Yuji has his potential, but the world's alot bigger now, so he'll need the genetic advantages to keep up with a larger world of powers and abilities to come.

One more thing I'll add, Sukuna has the good fortune of fighting a lot of different types of fighters during his time and surviving them. He knows when he needs to fight dirty and he plays to win. Some of these people he's fought don't have the battle IQ he has. Sidenote for battle IQ, for everything Yuki had, she could have taken Kenjaku on possibly with a domain clash, and it was the greatest fortune that he did happen to be the one sorcerer that had a counter to a literal black hole, because a majority of folks don't get past that 🤣 So even for how smart Kenjaku was, some people have powers that could overwhelm you. And that's what Sukuna is trying to find. That one person with just the right combination to take him down.

Idk about Kokichi's lineage, but I believe the main theory for the heavenly restriction is that it was required to defeat Mahoraga. In order to claim him, the CE of the sorcerer of who summoned him with the Ten Shadows Technique must deal the finishing blow. If any other users Cursed Energy finishes him, the trial will be void. BUT, if a Heavenly Restricted user with NO CE dealt the final blow, then odds are that the trial would be successful and the Ten Shadows User would gain Mahoraga. So the theory is that the Heavenly Restriction was likely an adaptation in order to reasonably defeat and claim Mahoraga.

Yuji has two special grade level techniques now, as well as his ability to lower peoples cursed energy by punching them, and reverse cursed technique. And he was near semi-special grade without all these buffs. Who knows, he might even be able to combine his two techniques and surpass everyone. The only thing he lacks, besides practice with the techniques, is a domain expansion and just general battle strategy. I'm not sure he could figure a way around someones hax like Sukuna did with Gojo.

I kinda doubt Gojo would've managed to damage Heian Sukuna to the point his domain crumbles cause the damn heian body has like 5x durability buff compared to the Meguna body. Sukuna pretty much is better in every stat in his heian body and Gojo wouldn't have it easy in hand 2 hand either. Especiallly considering Sukuna has more arms, speed and constant domain amp. I feel like IF Gojo crumbled heian Sukuna's domain there is a possibility that Sukuna would've kept trying different shit until something worked. Cause Mahoraga was just a easy and guaranteed way to get something with some extra advantageous without the risk. Cause all Mahoraga did was provide some information . Not an entirely new technique. He just showed that technique expansion can get the job done 100% guaranteed . I doubt Yuji would need a domain if he's able to keep Sukunas output in the dirt like this.

Yuji is basically Sukuna’s Song as well because just like how twins come from the same cell originally and have the same dna, they also have the same soul. And since Yuji is basically the son of two of the most powerful people in history (Kenjaku and Sukuna), he probably has more potential than Sukuna. And even if he didn’t have as much potential we now know that his connection to Sukuna grew even stronger since he was born win the finger sealed in him as well as eventually being to into (somewhat) of a cursed object himself(which was soaked in the cursed energy known as Ryomen Sukuna).

I think that not only will Yuji become stronger than Sukuna, but I also think that his curse technique he got from Sukuna will be stronger as well. Think about it, Sukun'as CT is based on a kitchen. The problem, is that his CT is based on an ANCIENT kitchen from the Heian era. Hearths, traditional knives, etc... Meanwhile Yuji gets access to... scissors? which are more closely tied to modern kitchens. This also explains why Sukuna keep Urame around, he needs someone to keep things cold while he cooks other things. However, both refrigerators and freezers are staples of modern kitchens. You know what else are staples of modern kitchens? Microwaves, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, scissors, thermomiters, etc... We already see curse techniques evolving like with the Zenin clan and their animation CT, so in my opinion, it's very likely that Yuji's kitchen CT will be able to evolve beyond Sukuna's kitchen CT. Basically, if Yuji considers something to be a part of a modern kitchen, it'll probably have some kind of use within his own CT. Plus if we throw in Kenny's anti-gravity CT, Yuji might end up with 3 total CTs, and at least one evolved CT. Sukuna uses a hearth, but we use ovens.

I'm gonna predict that yuji bouta not only pull out mastery in convergence but also frss in the next 1-3 chapters. black flash allows sorcerers to understand the core of their cursed energy better which means everything else that comes along with it, barrier techniques, ct, rct, etc. with yuji hitting 8 in a row it can be argued that the amp and high he feels of the black flashes is equal to when gojo unlocked rct and thus subsequently red and purple so the same should/could apply for yuji right? I also suspect that whenever sukuna goes all out could also be the point where we see the limit of one ct being used at a time being broken meaning we might see 2 cts being stacked on top of each other be it from sukuna or yuji

One thing that really irked me was that they stated that cursed techniques were imprinted on the brain so we had a really cool opportunity for yujikuna to be able to use cleave inexplicably as foreshadowing but then all the vessels started using their original techniques anyway. In terms of Yuji's durability: I'm not sure if it's a translation issue or if it was intentional, but it says "He's not being AFFECTED by techniques..." basically meaning, yes, Yuji is getting damaged by the attacks and techniques but mentally Yuji is unaffected. Affect plays on the emotions of a character while effect plays on the physicality. Yuji was able to shrug off and reattach his leg during the fight because the attack effected him, but the only reason he can power through his because of his mental fortitude.

One other factor that was later fixed in the official translations was that inorder to make yuji our friend Kenny used one of sakuna's finger if we go back to when yuji met megumi at school megumi senses it but they didn't have the finger yet this making yuji the first one making Shibuya sakuna after Kenny lifted the seal on cured objects 16 fingers when he switched to megumi later meaning yuta fought 19 finger sakuna plus the head yuta ate the last finger
