Im going to Address My Incoherent take on ZZZ Future : 1. The Combat doesnt need to be change (Lol it was a bait ill be honest) it is just me being optmistic and very much a preference in tastes 2. If anything the Combat isnt a issue until people starts to get bored of it eventually 3. ZZZ right now is in a PEAK state but it doesnt mean it can get better with or without Combat changes or Qol Changes Overrall sorry for my Weird Combat "Solution" To "Fix" ZZZ combat in the future. Much LOVE Mid_Potato

The game is still young and it really has still a lot of potential. Jumping would indeed be fun. What I would like to see is more character combos like Koleda and Ben.

@@RiiTheFox that is exactly how i feel ZZZ has too much potential and the devs wants criticism which is perfect for a game like this and honkai if only genshin would take criticism 😔

The jump doesn't scare me nor does it change me much as much as the abyss of difference they have created between Miyabi and the other 5 star attackers or who in any case do DPS with anomalies... If in the future they come up with increasingly broken characters than generally everything we have today will be garbage...

Miyabi is a void hunter, she's special. The power level scaling wants to leave her immune to power creep, not make her an overall creep spike. It's similar to archons in genshin

@@Charmlie.R True I believe that Miyabi And the other Void hunters Should be The Strongest No matter the meta, Where as the other Characters should always be under. thats my own opinion

unless each character have 5 different combo mid air I don't see why should they add jumping say what you want but this style of game don't need jumping just like how Metal gear rising air combo are after thought and no body really care but it's still fun from just how meaty the ground combat is

True Nothing wrong with the ground combat Infact I love it so much Im just Optimistic and can see ZZZ potential paths They COULD go for.

Aight, so anyone watching this should spread the idea in the next survey on open ended questions they have and suggest adding jump in during fight and exploration. If the next update they didn't bring this up, just continue one suggesting in the survey and feedback until they're forced to address jumping in their livestream. Anyone reading this so far, thank you and spread the suggestion to your friends.

Neither a jump button or juggling would change combat at all in this game, none of the fun enemies can be juggled

Eh. I agree with the 2nd part. Unique interactions between characters would be cool (as long as it doesn't give any combat benefit to not restrict team comps), but the aerial/jumping combo thing would make ZZZ feel like a completely different game. Plus, there's a sht ton of stuff they'd have to rework in order to make it viable. If I wanted to do aerial combos or DmC style of gameplay, I'd probably just play HI3 or DmC itself. Additionally, most combat encounters are quite quick, so it wouldn't really make much sense to have all these kinds of mechanics but you only really need to do maybe a couple of them. Most I can see them going this route is if it's going to be part of a character's kit, other than that, I don't see it being a viable route for the overall 'feel' of the game.

I don't think they will add such a thing without re-doing the game like hi3rd. Wuwa has the jumping stuff but its rarely used in combat or at least by me, but i think they have it beacuse it's an open map game so zzz didn't needed that.

I still don't see how implementing a jump will solve the problem you are talking about. I agree that implementing the jump would be game-changing (literally), but I don't see how this is going to stop power creep and inflation... which ultimately the biggest problem for players. I think you are basing your theory on the fact that jump would be more fun, but I dont think it would keep players from dropping the game if everything becomes power crept or inflated. I think the point you raise is for a different topic of impact to the game and potential growth of the game, and potential new playerbase. Also, I dont see a lot of people complaining about the combat in zzz, only that they want more challenge. So, not sure why you're so passionate about implementing jump (outside of your personal preference). And also the narrative that the combat needs/has to change. (For the record, I would like a jump}

This is what happens when people work backwards from their conclusion. He wants a jump button, so he'll move heaven and earth to construct a justification for it. Ftr, a jump button is entirely unnecessary.

Sorry, But my point is basically having the ability to aerial combo so. And utilizing the Unique Team attacks that Koleda and Ben Had but Apply it to Everyone right now and the others in the future

That really sounds interesting, a different approach to chain attacks per se? can you please be a bit more specific in your feedback? If it sounds good then i'll can also add it to my comments in the next zzz survey.

@@jonglopez5400 yeah pretty much it will expand onto chain attacks and making it fast and snappy for example : say you activate the chain attack you will have an extra option to launch the enemy in the air thus creating aerial chain attacks or team aerial combos. For the koleda and ben unqiue synergy they have, they can use it to actually implement that to all characters with synergistic team attacks to bring back characters into the meta like Ellen (ellen can still beat content rn) and corin could be the first attacker duo dps team having unique animations and cool interactions during the fight.

@Mid_Potato honestly I think the jumps would break ZZZ feel of rhythm. Like it feels fast because you only have to think of 2 or 3 things in a fight. Dodging and attack or parrying

personally i disagree with a few of your points. first of all i dont think the game needs inovation in terms of the combat as of like the next update or two. they have the game in a very polished state right now, and they literally just changed the way you play the game by seperating character ults (granted that its not like a completely different game, but it still changes how you look at combat interactions), and i think that overloading the game with different mechanics constantly would make for an overall messy experience. however, i think this is something they need to think about at the 2.0 or 3.0 stages and so on. second, i do not want a jump button in this game. i could be way off on this, but i have yet to play a game where jumping in combat feels good. i always find that i lose so much control over the character when jumping and it just feels jank. keep in mind though that i dont play a massive variety of games so i just may not have played a good one yet (yes i have played a little dmc5). i dont mind the idea of aireal combos, but id rather see them in the way hi3 did them initially with herrcher of flamescion, where its baked into her kit. finally with combo character animations, i very much like this idea, but i feel that it shouldnt be confined to just characters of the same faction, nor do i have a problem with them not implementing them on the release of the characters. i think its a great idea for units to be able to combo with characters that have lore significance to them, for example billy with lighter, or soldier 11 and anby (havent read up on that so thats just speculation). i also think this could be a way for the devs to avoid powercreep, bring old units back into the meta and incentivise unconventional teambuilding. for example, when ellen becomes weak, they could add some combo animations between her and corin, which incentivises trying a double dps team while also potentially buffing both units through that new moveset. food for thought i guess

I love your Idea for bringing back older units in the future with Combo characters like you said with Ellen and Corin, I will say though I shouldve went into more detail about the aerial combat yes i used Dmc as a example but I didnt want it to be like Dmc at all infact dmc aerial combat doesnt fit ZZZ at all, but i do think my other example (MvC) is a better example. It shows how you can do TEAM Aerial Combos and its snappy and Interactive. But I do get it people would not want a jump button for ZZZ especially rn...

@@Mid_Potato yeah my problem with that example is that MvC is a 2D fighting game, I completely agree that there would have to be team aerial combos if they were to implement game-wide aerial combat. I was using the dmc example as I have a problem with jumping in combat in 3D games as a whole. I have yet to play a game in which it feels good. You either have way too little control in the air and cant do anything about the direction you're headed in while in the air, and as such basically can't avoid getting hit, or you have way too much control in the air and it looks and feels super unnatural. That's why I liked the way HI3 did this with HoF as the only way you can enter aerial combat with her is through an uppercut. Another thing to take note of is currently, whenever your character is in the air, they get Iframes. Implementing this system means that you would no longer have that, and getting knocked out of the sky feels way worse than taking a hit on the ground. Obviously that's not a deal breaker, its just something to consider.

Im still iffy on a jump button. I think it can be unique, i dont think the jump itself would do anything, theres no need for hugher elevation and most enemy hurtboxes are small enough where you could dodge any attack but they coupd be a vehicle to enablijg more attacks, though i as a game designer i do wonder whats the point. In fighting games the jump button can allow you to dodge attacks from your opponent, their also from a side biew so its far easier to gauge, and though you could have "jump attacks" what difference would they make? At the end of they day they would stil function by hitting the enemies, just like basics, even if they give i-frames hows that different from the i-frames from dodge counters or ex attacks. Unless every attack from the enemy in game now is reworked from the ground up i dont see any point of it, and even if they where i dodge countering would still be superior. In my opionion sosge coutners already fill the role of dodge and attack that a jump button would provide and the ex attack fills the role of a unique attack.

you're wrong, in each group there are two characters that have unique animations, when a character appears on screen for a moment, makes strikes and disappears

​@@ME-xc1stnot really, but partly yes, this happens at the time of quick assist as an additional bonus provided if you have certain characters, watch the video at 30 seconds, additional animation appears which is usually not there.

Ben and Koleda doesn't only change the animation, it completely changes one of Koleda's attacks, even boosting the damage output. It is unique in the sense that Ben comes in without swapping. That doesn't happen with other factions, it only happens for Koleda when she has Ben on the same team (only she can trigger the team attack, Ben can't do that)

@@nikaeristavi6951 No, not really I played Dmc, on few difficulties It wasn't that bad don't get me wrong, but it wasn't anything insane or really fun, maybe it's just not for me I prefer Metal Gear Rising combat it's way cooler and sick for me and ZZZ is more similar to that then Dmc which I love about it

When I think about it jumping would be cool but to move around inside a hollow, do some puzzles and stuff, just so traverse is not that boring, but still not for combat really Maybe when you hold space characters do some parkour like Raiden from Mgr:r and like they showed us in the very early trailers
