I have a Tiffin Phaeton with a Queen size mattress but its a sleep number bed. Its comfortable yes but this RV mattress seems like something that I'm going to seriously look into. Thanks guys. EJ in Baton Rouge.

Years ago, we were in Ypsilanti MI at a campground. It was evening and my wife was reading in bed, and I was on my computer in the living room. I always retraced our awning before going to bed but hadn't done so. My wife said to me "sounds like the wind is starting to kick up. You better take care of the awning". I immediately got up and in the seconds it took to get out the door, the wind was blowing hard and the awning was starting to move up and down. I told my wife to stand in the middle of the awning and hold onto the tube while I started to retract the old style manual awning. The force of the wind resulted in lifting the awning and my wife went about 6 inches off the ground but I was able to get the awning down and secured and she got her feet back on the ground. We were one of the lucky ones as quite a few rigs lost their awnings. The campground was on a river, and families with kids had lots of water floats and toys that were blown all over the campground and the next morning, people were out trying to get things sorted and help each other. So, I'm super cautious about making sure awnings are retracted when it is windy or if I'm not at the campsite! As you said, it can happen sooooo fast!

I love your channel but I'm getting really tired of rv channels hawking these severely overpriced mattresses. You can buy normal memory foam mattresses in different thicknesses from quality regular brands like Zinus for a 3rd or less of the price. They even have short queens. Just because it says RV in the name does not make it better for rv's!!
