I reckon I'd snap that like a match stick. The seat post/shock pivot area looks way weak to me and that's what's taking all of the forces.

You are spot on 😀 I was wondering if it would last 3 months without breaking. Some people say they have jumped it. If you own one, I think it's £11,000 down the drain, and the warranty US 🤣

@@AutoGleamTruths I've never had a carbon bike (or bought new for that matter) but I'm an expert at snapping aluminium (x6) They always go above the rear shock mount if it's a 4 bar link design or if it's straight through onto the top tube the seat stay goes (like on my recently snapped Whyte) This has put all the forces on the skinny part of the seat tube for no apparent reason with the position of the pivot and that seat post design. Not sure what they were thinking, must be an aesthetics thing. I guess at 11 grand they're pricing in a few warranty claims. .

@bugginout-net I can't believe Whyte bikes selling many at £11,000, I have been offered the same thing for £8,500, but I have said no way again 😀 I am just carrying on with my normal bikes 😀

@@AutoGleamTruths Wise man, let someone else deal with the depreciation. Never thought I'd say that about a bicycle...

Wow £11k for a bike I honestly do not know how bike manufacturers justify the cost. A friend has just bought a nearly new 900cc motorcycle and it was £3k less than that bike, I am sure there's more R&D, engineering, testing etc than any ebike.

Mate, I am with you, that's well over priced, and they wonder why the bike industry is in the S.. when I got it out of the damaged box 📦 I started to think about the paper price, especially from the equipment fitting without the frame, after it's been returned a number of different Whyte dealers have told me that if I want to place a new order for the same e-lyte £8,500 very interesting offer, will I be buying another I very much don't think so 🤔 laters

@@cornishcactus the bike industry is on its arse now, probably because there's a shortage of people like you, there's a good book about the bike industry you should read, it's called the emperor's new clothes.
