Low ratings were added to make some more realistic aspects to late prospects. Those players just needs to stay on their junior team until they cant and spend a year or two in the AHL

from my experience the draft is so much better than last year. i got some franchise goalys in 4-5 rounds. usually the first 5 drafts have 80+ rating. i get many steals. im at year 9 in franchise mode and almost my whole team got med elit potential. my goally got med franshise and alexis lafreniere med franchise so yeah, i think the draft is better :D

First draft is always garbage this year, I think it is a competitive balance thing...
