Tenor passagios can actually differ slightly. Heldentenors usually experience their primo passagio as low as B below middle C. Really only a leggiero tenor has a G passagio

jacob lahr what Spyres explains is actually true. Tenor passagios may differ but never lower than F or F#. Real heldentenors and dramatic tenors have their passagio slightly higher than baritones, but never lower. Some light tenors may actually turn after G# or A. Nevertheless, about turning in B or C, I can tell I’m a full lyric baritone and I never turn higher than Eb nor lower than D. Not even bass-baritones have their passagio in B or C. Only true basses should turn their voice in such a low register.

@@BaritoneDeLaTorre A tenor friend of mine won a prize to coach for a summer with Pavarotti. He told me the only technical advice he got the whole time was ‘Cover at the F except in Neapolitan songs, where you can wait until F#’. I thought that strange, since a tenor of his type normally covers at F# all the time. Maybe it was a case of ‘Avoid di Stefano’s fate at all costs.’

@@BaritoneDeLaTorre Is spyres an F/G though? He calls himself a light baritone naturally, and his low notes are pretty solid even down to C2

@@andrewbloom7694 for me he is absolutely a tenor, but if he believes he's a baritone I am not going to argue whether he's right about his own tesitura or not. However, I want to mention that the ability to reach low notes does not define the type of voice. If that was the case, I'd be a basso profondo.
