I sang in a choir for a REALLY long time (almost 12 years) and also took lessons, so I wouldn’t say I’m naturally gifted-I’ve just practiced a lot. Everyone's voice is unique, so if I had one piece of advice, it would be to experiment with your voice and try different techniques to see what works for you. When it comes to breathing, it’s crucial to engage your diaphragm and ensure your singing is supported from below. Since the diaphragm is a muscle, it’s important to develop a mind-muscle connection to activate and control it effectively. One helpful exercise is to sing an arpeggio on 'Ha.' Focus on engaging your diaphragm quickly with each 'Ha.' I like to include this as part of my warm-ups before singing. I usually place one hand on my belly to feel the diaphragm engage and use my other hand to punch the air in time with each 'Ha.' Hope this is helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions :)

Hahah thanks :) I've actually been singing this song for much longer. I just included that in my description because I thought it was a silly thing to say ;) I first learned the piece as a choral version back in middle school but picked it back up, as a solo piece, around two years ago. I've sung it intermittently since then but only recorded it a couple of weeks before the movie's release. I think the biggest change in my performance was where I was taking breaths. For a demanding song like this, you really have to strategically choose when to take in air. I also played around with vocal placement to achieve the type of sound I wanted for each section of the song. Hope this answers your question :)
