One of my favorite moments of WICKED caught on camera is from one bootleg of Willemijn Verkaik and Katie Rose Clarke at the very end where the person filming catches Katie’s last few seconds and her acting and facial expressions are so on point with Glinda losing her friend and keeping her secret and taking on the Grimmerie, her character has lost so much and has a lot riding on her shoulders going forward. Katie really captured that in that moment

The various deliveries of 'for the first time, I feel... Wicked!' is what always gets me. I love them all so much - the laughs, the excited whispers, the slightly dorky, the deep drop in tone. Everyone nails it in their own way and it's so fucking cool. In general I love how much everyone loves playing these roles and embodying them in their own way.

I love that you included clips of the West End cast. I first saw Wicked on West End when I was little so I have always imagined the characters as having British accents. Sorry, as a Dutchie I'm just dying at the will-uh-mee-jan ver-cake. Absolutely loving the effort though! Thank you for making these videos, they're making my week :) For Willemijn Verkaik pronunciation: The 'ij' in Willemijn is more like an 'i' sound, but the sound is much less rounded, almost as if you're smiling. I think the closest English sound is the word 'eye'. In Verkaik, the 'ai' sounds like a regular 'i', as in kite. So, Will-uh-m-eye-n Ver-kike.

The only way it would truly make sense is if Glinda, thinks she's being really profound and it's played for laughs. It does sound like something she would say, thinking she's intelligent but in that moment it's played totally sincere and the music is orchestrated to thrill and then pull back. It's a sincere moment and to have the character singing something so hokey, I always find jars.
