In this vlog we go to see Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London's West End. We went to a Wednesday evening showing on 26th July 2023 which started at 7.30pm. The run time for the show is 2hrs 45 minutes which includes a 20 minute interval. We paid £49 each for out tickets and we were sat in the Stalls Row B seats 13 & 14 and our view from this seat was very good but there were a few bits which occurred on the far right of the stage which we did miss, there was good legroom in these seats so I would definitely sit in that seat again.
Based on the acclaimed novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked imagines a beguiling backstory to the lives of L. Frank Baum’s beloved characters, and reveals the magic that shaped the destinies of two unlikely friends on their remarkable journey to becoming Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West
With music and lyrics by multi-Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Pippin, The Prince of Egypt, The Hunchback of Notre Dame) and a book by Tony Award-nominee Winnie Holzman, Wicked is currently the 11th longest running show in West End history, having been seen at the Apollo Victoria Theatre London by over eleven million people.

WICKED is always still one of my favorite musicals. OMG Lucy and Alexia are adorable together. Seen 4 times across the pond here in New York City. Going for my 5th time on Broadway on the 5th of March.... First night of the new cast change there...... Mary Kate Morrisey (who got amazing buzz from the US Tour) as "Elphaba" Alexandra Socha as "Glinda", Brad Oscar as "The Wizard", Donna McKechnie (the Tony winning OG "Cassie" from A Chorus Line) as "Madame Morrible" and Natalie Ortega as "Nessarose".

Have seen the London production twice a year, every year, since 2009, obviously i love this show, but, got to say the current company are poor in comparison, Once was enough. Will wait for a cast change and hope it returns to its previous high standards.
