Great review!! I was able to see it and it is WONDERFUL!!! Everyone, go see this in theaters!!! 2 hours and 45 minutes felt like an hour. It was Amazing!!!

The director was smart and ended the movie with Defying Gravity which also ends Act one of the Broadway show. The song was written to send you out of the theater satisfied and wanting more.

Thanks, Cameron! 🌈 Indeed, Technicolor wasn't used in WICKED: PART ONE (2024). I agree, it would've been nice to have that ultra-saturation. I suppose we'll hear from Mr. Chu why he opted for a less-intense palette? I'm glad you don't know what's to come in Act Two of the play and likely PART TWO (2025). You're gonna love it, I think.

The color grading filter sounds like ot provides a dark tome which is what the musical did. The land of OZ in general and the emerald city is this grand and colorful palace structure while the city and the people in it change throughout the film as the tone gets darker.

I get that too! But I think there were different ways to go about doing that rather than making the colors dull
