@heathconely3573 I mean she's making the explosives herself, that tends to be more dangerous than just using the finished product, especially if we're talking about something made for weapons and not blasting or fireworks or whatever and repurposed. It's not *that* hard to make a compound that is stable and also an effective high explosive but most of the processes involved, especially with out the safety procedures and equipment usually available to manufacturers, are very much not something a DUMB person could do very effectively with out dying. Simply sticking your finger in some of those compounds in their unfinished state can be enough heat to cause an explosion so it's not as if it's the easiest thing to just blunder your way through with out SOME education not to mention many require protective gear and fume extraction gear to make lest you be exposed to acids and various poisons. Depending on what she's actually making she may be VERY skilled in chemistry, chemical processing, and lab safety as well as working with extremely hazardous substances. Most of those things require *years* of study to do safely and while skill at a single subject doesn't automatically mean intelligence it is a decent indicator. She'd have a very successful career in several fields with those cross disciplinary talents actually lol. Mind you she could also be stuffing black powder into balls and it's just written to be effective anyway, it MAY be expecting too much of the show runners to have put that much thought into such a minor thing but if we are going to overthink it anyway then she seems smarter than average at least. xD

Valentino has adequate intelligence based on his ability to read and manipulate people, understanding their needs and how to use them against them. His time spent to count the bills is actually more about horrible eyesight. He is a moth Demon and moths don't have great eyesight, they're actually quite blind, one reason why they are drawn to light. Val needs to wear the glasses to be able to see, but I think even then he is still quite blind, and uses his sense of smell and other senses to see for him. If you're looking at three bills in your hand and you have bad eyesight, it would take you a while to figure out if you're looking at a 5 or a 50, a 10 or a 100, and so on. Especially if, and this is a theory, you are far sighted, which I'm assuming is the best way to describe Val's vision problems as he may be able to see things better from far away rather than up close. He is either really, horribly far sighted that he can barely see things from a distance, or he is quite blind where things look blurry to him no matter the distance. And just to point this out, there are brilliant people out there, like incredibly intelligent people, who suffer with dyslexia and dyscalculia. I don't think that's Val, but I wanted to point that out.

You can also give Husk credit for knowing the personality flaws of his allies, from Charlie needing to work on her own problems while she's at it, to Angel Dust's facade. He is able to bring out the better in the latter, helping Angel later start to weaken Val's hold on him.

I would actually rank Velvette much higher, whilst she is overly ambitious and headstrong, compared to the other two Vee's she's doesn't have an obvious weakness (Valentino having the emotional capacity of a 13 year-old, and Vox having a literal hate boner for Alastor). However, where she shines is in her ability to read people. She was able to deduce from Carmilla's reaction to what Zestial said that something was up, she then provoked Carmilla using her connection to Zestial to start the Respectless song, and was able to deduce from that fact that the weapon's dealer doesn't want war that she knew something about how the angel died. Velvette I would argue is exceptionally emotionally smart (being able to read and manipulate people) but doesn't have the same experience as the other overlords in warfare.

Velvette is pretty powerful, yeah, but has no experience, her idea of an angelic war is so idiotic that she definitely deserves to get that on her account. She didn't know how to calm Valentino (which, fair, he's completely irrational), during the meeting with the other Vees in Ep. 2, Vox and Valentino were way more useful and it showed just how smart Vox is. Like, who tf would have thought of Sir Pentious considering how unknown he's supposed to be.

I reckon all three of the Vees are solidly intelligent but in totally different way. Vox is Business savvy. He’s majorly good at manipulating the masses into believing what he wants them to believe. Valentino is clearly the least intelligent of the three, but is very smart when it comes to trying to build connections. He didn’t instantly kick Charlie out of his studio until after after she proved a hassle and a hazard to his brand. He’s not smart, but I wonder what else his drug can do besides make people feel good. Velvette us very young compared to the other overlords, but she is an expert at reading people and a major influencer as TheAnimeXIII said. She has a solid brand and has yet to show any mental controlling abilities, instead using the media and marketing to bolster her power. This doesn’t make any of them good people, but just proves what a power house they are together.

To be honest, one thing about Carmilla is that she is the only one who knew right from the start that Vaggie is an exorcist, and then proceeded to give her a really quick and good reason to move on and forgive herself for lying to Charlie, so this is a lot of points towards that goal. Also, don`t forget that Zestial is the only known overlord to survive Alastor`s massacre of overlords when he goes in power. Just think about that fact, because I get the feeling not many people realize it

@@0hiOking1 Watch Alastor's reaction when Zestial first greets him. His eyes get wide and he's visibly nervous. One can argue it's Zestial's aura, but when that moment passes, Alastor still finds ways to avoid looking at him directly when he can (like fixing his tie), and basically tiptoes around the conversation in a far more indirect way than he does with other characters. Zestial is someone Alastor knows can likely use any information he gives out against him. It's not fear as in, "the thought of him keeps me up at night," but fear in the sense of, "this man is a chessmaster, and if I'm not careful, I'm the next piece he captures." Zestial also survived Alastor's initial purge of Overlords, and we know this because he's ancient (via his dialect) and still alive. There are many reasons why that can be, but "he and Alastor fought, Zestial could have won, but spared him, and they're on decent terms because they see each other as worthy opponents" is potentially on that list.

Zestial is the "Fear the Rage of the Quiet Man" type. He's a calm, collected and pleasant guy. Just make sure you're not the one that pisses him off. You can get more behind you with a fair and kind word than you can with fear. He likely has several powerful Sinners beneath him that have great respect for him.

From what little we saw of him, he showed that he’s got brain power and tact but also emotional intelligence. He implored his long time friend to share her load. Also, speaking in Shakespearean English makes him also seem poetically intelligent. AND he’s got that perfect level of man sass. When he sips his tea so loud it stops Velvette from talking? Love it.

Book-Smarts would be Sir Pentious . Street smarts goes to Husk Emotional intelligence goes to either Charlie or Emily . Entrepreneurial probably goes to Vex . I don't even know why Lucifer told her to meet Adam in the first place , correct me if I'm wrong but he didn't even know what Charlie was up to until episode 5 so what was the point of Charlie meeting Adam ? Maybe he knew that she despised the exterminations but didn't know about the hotel so that was the reason he sent her to speak to Adam but even then after what Lucifer did to Adam , pretty much screwed him over 2 times with his 2 wives why would he think that Adam would even entertain a single thing Charlie had to say ? That whole meeting just didn't make sense to me from a logical point of view . While I did enjoy the show , there are a lot of moments where things just didn't make any logical sense and was played more of a joke as to why something is the way it is or it was simply ignored .

He agreed to the annual exterminations so why would he even attend in the first place , I would assume as long as they don't touch his family he didn't care for it . Sera did tell Emily that Hell was uprising ( whatever that meant exactly ) we don't know but I assume Lilith was responsible for it as she was empowering sinners and demons so this is where I assume that Heaven needed to do something about Hell and Adam pitched the idea of the exterminations and Sera approved it and Lucifer agreed to it as long as his family is untouched , that is what makes most sense to me . As to why was Lilith likely in Heaven , well I assume Adam told her if she backs off and let the angels have an easier time with killing sinners that he will allow her to stay in Heaven .

7:35 I wouldn't say Charlie got the exterminations moved up on either occasion. The first time, ADAM called the first, implying HE was the one that had a reason for such a meeting, Charlie just took the opportunity to try and pitch her hotel. He was ALWAYS bumping up the extermination after they found out one of their exterminators was k!ll3d. Yes, they only find proof of the slain angel AFTER the meeting, but I'm guessing they have some form of checklist or head count so that they KNOW they were missing an exterminator (or, you know, we see in Carmilla's flashback there were like four other exterminators around to witness the reverse UNO murd3r). As for the second time, he didn't even MOVE UP that extermination, he just explained he and the exorcists were targeting Charlie's hotel first. And, considering Adam told all the exterminators before the attack that he wanted to specifically target VAGGIE, I'm assuming he had always planned to attack them first as soon as he saw Vaggie was still alive.

I have two theories in case you do a theory video for season two. The first one is the identity of who owns alastors soul: Many people want to say lillith due to both her and alastor being gone for seven years. And although thats definitely suspicious, I feel thats supposed to be a red herring as plot twists keep coming up to keep us on our toes. So who is more likely? Zestial. He seems to know alastor really well where they can walk the street with each other without one getting angry. Alastor is very intelligent do if Zestial owns alastors soul, he would know that he needs to be friendly to his master so that anger doesn't snap back. Zestial seems to know more about alastor due to Zestial being rumored to be from the 1500s due to his design and voice. However if he doesn't own the radio demon's soul then he would know who does. My second theory is Zestial may have vital knowledge on the main cast and can confirm theories of characters or how his story ties into the others. Due to his age and him being arguably the highest overlord (carmilla seemed either scared of Zestial when he was disrespected and didn't want him angry or has high respect for him.)

Rank the episodes of season 1 Worst to Best. IMO the best episode… is also the hardest to watch. What an emotional roller coaster. One moment you’re laughing then you’re crying out of fear and sadness and then there’s the impressive fight against the shark gangsters, and a little bit of Chaggie cuteness sprinkled in. Such an amazing episode as difficult as it is.

I agree that Zestial is the smartest, just the way that he shows himselfs shows that he has a plan prepared and takeing in consideration the fact that he is one of or the only overlord that survived Alestor proves that he eather was smart enough to make a plan to best Alestor or he is stronger, but takeing in consideration how Alestor is with Lucifer and Charlie (the only two people in hell that are surely stronger than him) he was probably bested in an inteligence war and not in hand to hand.

While I do mostly agree with your placement in this, I do think that you forgot some things: 1. Charlie wasn't the one who caused the extermination to happen sooner. 2. Just like other comments have said, Velvette was able to instantly notice how Carmilla was acting odd about the angel head and used it to her advantage (she made Carmilla cut the meeting short). 3. Alastor's intelligence can also be seen with his ability to pinpoint with deadly accuracy the insecurities of those around him. He's able to identify just what people need to hear and coax them into doing what he wants (not many people seem to realize that when he makes a deal with Vaggie he's using a foot in the door technique).
