I love this concept as a fellow millenial, and I'm so saddened they used genAI for this :( Like it would have been so easy to commission an artist, and the art is one of the best parts of tarot so it's just such a missed opportunity... I 100% would have bought this deck if not for the genAI used. Thanks for reviewing it!

feels a bit artificial to me, Tarot is a magical tool and part of its magic comes from the people who created the art and of course the people who read tarot. There are a lot of talented artists who deserve to work in such wonderful projects. But just like everyone else, I think we all had seen this coming. AI will be used in more and more type of projects such as this one. Thanks Natasha for the video and sharing your opinions, you're ever so lovely.

It is a different deck. I don't think it is something I would buy for myself. It feels a bit artificial to me. However, I do like the different takes on the cards though. I don't mind AI as long as you say it is done with AI. Don't lie about it. I 100% agree that this deck could have been done different if AI had not been used. Thanks for reviewing it.

So I was born in 1978 which puts me on the tail end of Gen X and typically able to relate to, or at least understand, cultural references from both Gen X and Millennial. But am I the only one who felt like some of the cards skewed more Gen Z? Like the Baddie one for example? I learned that term from my teenager, not my sibling in their 30's. Or am I just more solidly Gen X than I think? Haha. As for the AI, my first thought is that at least that was disclosed (unlike how there's a bazillion AI generated books on Kindle Unlimited but you have to count on your spidey senses to figure that out) but it still makes for some odd imagery and just kind of a soulless feel.

AI is terrible for the environment. It uses huge servers to store information which then uses thousands of gallons of water to keep them cool. It’s bad news 😢

Yes, and it's not just about replacing traditionally created art it's also ripping them off. There are decks where you can see whose artwork was used to 'train' AI. At least the creators here were open about using AI which is sadly not the rule.

I’m at LEAST glas they’re upfront about it. I had some fansongs I liked for a show and now I’m concerned they use AI and I’m not here for it. I don’t mind it as a tool for accessibility (I do use one app that can use it to identify images or text or such since I’m vidually impaired), but the wide-spread use in creative places makes me sad as a writer.

I’m not part of the target audience (Gen X), so the general concept of the deck does not appeal to me. Having said that, I am firmly against the use of AI. It is a form of theft of intellectual property, whether it’s images, text, or sound. These systems are built on the ideas, images, and sounds of real artists who are not given credit for their work. Two thumbs down on this one.
