I can understand why people didn't like them. Both were great and had their moments, but by the very nature of the games both were very protracted, although Dark Chronicle handed this slightly better. Having one single storyline drag through an entire dungeon could make it seem needlessly extended, although I personally didn't mind. What I DID mind was the whole rubbish about Sirus being the thing he was in DC2... I mean wtf? Kinda killed any kind of relatability or seriousness he had.
