I live about 1000 or more miles from here now, and it looks somewhat different than it did when I was a kid. But then I suppose it would, wouldn't it. That was so long ago, and although I was probably only about 3 or 4 years old, I actually rode with my gran on the Meon Valley Railway from here to Alton on a journey to Aldershot. Still looks a nice place though. As an add on, I was one of the kids from Knowle, when it was a private estate that went with the hospital there, my dad was a member of staff. Thanks for the memory.

Many thanks for your comment. I live about 20 minutes away from Wickham, and go there often. It seems to have a very close community spirit and is a popular place to live. I've walked along the old railway line which these days is a path for walkers and cyclists etc. It's a pity the railway line was closed, but as you know so many of them were. I'm planning another video when the weather improves, to also include the Wickham water meadows, so watch this space! 👍🙂

Thank you Elizabeth, I'm pleased you liked it! It's been my most popular of the 40 videos I've made so far. I know what you mean about the traffic noise. I did edit some of it out, but there was a lot! I'm planning to do a video of the Wickham water meadows and will write some music to go with that. I did a couple of videos like that on my KZbin channel: Tranquillity (filmed in Brighton) and Fly (filmed at Lee-on-the-Solent). Hopefully when we have the right weather I'll be filming in Wickham again! 🙂👍
