Seems like we've given whole neighborhoods away. My coach used to stop at the Fairfield Halls in the 80's bringing us into London from school in Seaford Sussex

Croydon has changed so. Much seventies and eighties many beautiful shops & department stores but today box park is the life saver for Croydon

Funny did that walk down memory lane a couple of weeks ago , we all worked in Cherry Orchard Road, but my what a change now , not many English people now , and no Alders has made it an eyesore, remember the discos Cinatras and one other where there was always a punch up, Purley way had Cinderellas ! Frequent pubs Cherry Orchard, Builders Arms,The Oval and Porter and Sorter ! Used to be a nice 2nd hand record shop Beanos as well gone now !

Willy you re back on the Croydon beat again I see and same old situation re Alders and the Whitgift.I ve packed up going there anymore prefer Shepherds Bush and Kingston more my neck of the woods As I always say on the bus or train The only other white man is talking Russian or some other language.Thisiss not Our country anymore m8
