I've been told mixing is about "sculpting sounds" and received a lot of different other advice but my mixings still remained like kid's drawings without the cuteness. This little vid brought me more clarity toward mixing than all of groove3 and my mixing books combined. This was a Godsend i tell you. Its like now i get WHY I do what i do rather than just doing because its supposed to be done. I have to run back to my old music now and check to see what's going on now that I have this new found knowledge.

I have learned so much with your tutorials. These things are great for a person like me, with lots of training playing the instruments but none on how to record them. It's nice to know I'm working my toward being able to produce good-quality demos on my own, instead of having to call a friend and hope he's up to helping me out. Wow, this is just the intro and I already know so much more than I used to. I knew panning helped make a recording sound better, but I never knew why until I visualized it in a 3D space like in the video. The same goes with equalizing. I really had no clue before. This video helped out a lot already. Great tutorial.

This is a great tutorial! I'm just starting out in producing music and some areas like mixing were hard for me to understand until now. You made it Sooo easy to understand lol... Maybe because I'm a visual learner and I noticed your also a graphic designer, so the graphics as a visual helped me a "see" sound better and understand mixing. You need to sell this concept to DAW software companies for visualization while mixing in their program. Especially now a days with all visualization-based editing that shows sound waves in real time as you apply fx. IDK why this is not already a thing!? Great concept. Thanks for sharing
