I remember sitting up in the galleries of the Birmingham Symphony Hall in the national youth choirs gala concert and listening to them perform this! Thank god for being in training choir!

You're right, it's Widecombe. I grew up on Dartmoor, and I was always taught that Widecombe Fair was written about our Widecombe-in-the-moor. I always felt sorry for my schoolfriend Tom Pearce, he never heard the end of this song.
