The CR 500. The only bike that i was regularly offered to ride and always said " no thanks ". Wasn't afraid of it but did respect it. Just didn't think jumping on it with no protective gear but a helmet was a wise idea. Especially after a few beers. The guy that owned it was a good rider and fearless. Partly his nature partly because he was had terminal cancer. He always rode full on motorcross tires. He didn't need no stinking DOT approval. He could ruin a $100 tire in minutes on the street. It wasn't that he wanted to ride it on pavement but it was the easiest way to get to the dirt. I was used to seeing squared off rear tires on a lot of dirt bikes when riders rode them on the street. This guy wore every bit of those tires. Pretty impressive lean angles for a dirt bike that could break traction at any speed in any gear!

Cool to see the 80 YZ 125. Brings back memories of my first bike, a 1980 YZ 60. Not the best first bike for a 7yr old but it sure taught me a lot fast. Especially how to hit the kill switch when your throttle hangs wide open. :)

See, I completely agree! He’s really got the speed & flow, etc. some have it (the speed) & some others don’t ever get it (the speed); Carson has it🏆it’s a joy to watch him wring the guts outta these MX bikes😎he’s put tons of time into riding properly, and it shows!🏆

Would of loved a onboard camera on the 500. I have a 2001 cr250 and weigh 130. The amount of time spent at Wot is very little. I can't even imagine the power of a 500 on gripy dirt.
