Zen World - Evolution Of Sound

Zen World - Evolution Of Sound

Күн бұрын

In This video I hope I get across that if you design a sound or redesign a preset to sound wide. there is no need for any effects like HAAS or MIDSIDE EQ. Another thing i show in this video is the use of HAAS, Panning, and Mid/Side EQ to show the outcomes of it.
Cheers Ninjas

great video as always. Zen, when you look throught your presets in serum, you view them in a "sylenth" kind of way where you for example when you hold over your "mainstage revolution" preset folder at 7:47 and u see all the presets coming up. For me, even if there is like 100 presets in one folder, it only shows about 20 and then i have to start scrolling down(wich takes time) to reach all the others. how do you do this? cuz its acctually really anoying for me. hope it was understandable. Thanks!

The question is how far can i go with widenes my sound? because as much as you wideneyour sound you send it to the antiphase and than i might losing some of my elements when i play it on mono. Will it happen?

Dimension Expander doesn't use the Haas effect... If it was using the Haas effect phase issues would appear when you force the sound to be mono rather than the delay disappearing completely (also it's written in the serum manual that it's using short rm delays)

thanks zen. but i have a doubt, does outphasing or delaying the left and right signal too much in any sound cause phase cancellation issues? ive been doing the math (which i learnt from physics in 10th) an i can hear that some part of my sound sounds less or missing... is it because of phase cancellation or not? please help...anyway love you #LOVEFFROMYOURTRUELOVER (if you remember :) )
@jeanjean1714
@jeanjean1714 6 жыл бұрын
Always check in MONO after you make a sound wide to check if it translate well in mono. If you miss too a lot, then you have some phase cancelation issues

Florian Music well for me there are 2 types of future bass Theres the ugly one with bad vocal chops messy chords and wah wah effects all over the place .. And the good one with superb vocals etc. Which i consider to be the real future bass but yeah you could also call it pop or something most of the time as we have a whole lyric song with the instrumental around it to support the vocals

Totally agree about the supersaw BUT, I suggest you listen to Beepstreet's Sunrizer or a roland JP 8000. Analyze it with a correlation meter and you'll be greatly amazed as the supersaw even though it cuts through the mix and sounds good even in 2018, is completely MONO. I'm not kidding! :-D

WHAT DOES STEREO AND MONO MEAN?
@MarveInc
@MarveInc 5 жыл бұрын
Mono is when Left and Right are exactly the same sound. Stereo menas that there are some dfferences like a Shaker or smth cloud be panned to the left so its louder on the left side than on the right.
