Thank you Marieke! I was so confused on my thoughts regarding Episode 5 I didn't even comment so a belated thank you for that episode too :) . .. ... .... ..... To be honest I haven't got a clue any more but am still sticking with Splinter as by the time I get out of the tunnel they'll be back in the Netherlands! Trouble is he seemed like a fanatical candidate in the prison challenge with all the puzzles, although in the end it made no difference as the Mole managed to cause enough confusion to make them miss the key rule to actually earn the money 'EVERYONE must escape'...I'm clutching at straws but I did find his reference to Spider-Man interesting...Peter Parker by day Spider-Man by night...Splinter by day Mole by night ;) As usual I've probably picked the winner as the Mole!

Marieke, thank you very much! :) It's the first time I'm commenting this season. I am enjoying it much. Best season since 2018. This year I have a problem with identifying the mole. At the beginning my prime suspect was Maraije. Then until episode 5 I suspected Splinter and now everything seems to point to Renee. In general, I feel that Joshua was the primary responsible for all the sabotages, so the mole didn't have to do too much. I'll be very surprised to find out that Rocky is the mole. She had many opportunities not to earn money and she did not use it. I think she is the winner. Chrlotte - I don't know.

I usually pick a male and female mole in the first episode. This year my gut told me Marije and Renee. Each episode gave me more reasons to doubt Marije until they were celebrating on the train at the end of episode 5. I felt like she rang the bell and tried to ignore the clock still counting down the euros... They were there at 850 but didn't stop it until 750.

spoilers . . . . . . If we can believe they're all telling the truth about who they suspect then I think that if Marije/Charlotte was the mole then either Rocky or Splinter would have had the red screen. But I don't really like to make my suspicions based on who they say they suspect because we don't know what the questions were and how they actually answered the test. My gut is telling me it's either Rocky or Marije. At this point I can't see it being Splinter at all and Charlotte has only started sabotaging in the last couple of episodes. And Renee... well, I'm really undecided about her either way because she's done a lot of suspicious things but also a lot of things that make me want to rule her out. Another great episode with really fun assignments - thanks for uploading!

I feel like I can eliminate Splinter. If I'm wrong about this, I've been wrong the entire season. So that's that. I also feel as though I can eliminate Renee. I've just never thought it could be her. She's had so many opportunities to lose money where she hasn't done so. Marije is the first person I am really nervous about clearing. She was my first suspect. Her actions definitely point to her as a possible Mole. But so many early eliminees have named her as a possible Mole, and her edit throughout has been that of the questioning player. So I'm thinking it's probably not her. Charlotte... she wasn't in my group of three suspects at the beginning. (Remember the very first challenge when I said the Mole wouldn't take the joker card so they could influence the others who could win money when offered actual jokers? Of course ALL THREE of the people who refused the joker card would make it to the final five. Figures.) And if she's the Mole, how come the only two people who don't suspect her at all both got green screens? I can definitely make a case against Charlotte. But I can't see it being her. And that just leaves Rocky. Now the big thing, to my mind, against her being the Mole is when she was paired with Renee during the abseil challenge. If she'd have gotten the E500 from Renee rather than the jokers, the group would have lost two thousand Euros. But then she didn't know in advance what would happen with the others. Apart from that, though, she's had a lot of moments that put her in a shady light (she was the only person who could've shot Florentijn in the laser challenge in episode 2 for example). On the whole... I'm thinking Rocky is the Mole. If it's not her, it's Marije or Charlotte. But there are problems with both cases. I can't see it being either Splinter or Renee. But put my official guesstimate down for Rocky. Thanks for the upload Marieke!

I ruled Rocky out after the abseil challenge but she was my main suspect until that point so part of me was waiting for her to take a large chunk out of the pot so I could put her back on my list and then what did she do last episode? She spent 5000 euros on information from Rik! And I think out of all the candidates she has been in the best positions to mole and even though she's won a little bit of money it's quite often not the full amount (eg. lasergame, blacklight ballerinas, and even a few others) so I think watching the sabotages back in the finale would be most entertaining if it's Rocky.

Actually splinter is my mole! Charlotte and Marije are too suspicious in the episodes so I don’t think it can be one of them. Rocky seems like such a fanatic and strong player which earns quite a lot of money (although she got out 5000 in the last episode) and I don’t really see her being the mole. and with rénee, I don’t know, she could be the mole but for some reason I don’t see her being the mole at all, that leaves splinter and I can’t really find any evidence against splinter being the mole!

My theory is that the mole secretly escaped from their cell immediately (or actually wasn't locked up initially) and moved the poles with marija's keys father away to make it harder for her to escape, casting suspicion on marije while trying hard to get the money and escape themselves. Renee could've done this because her cell was isolated. Then she could've slipped into her cell while Rocky was trying to escape and then wait for Rocky to help her. So I'm officially in a Renee tunnel. I also think she was given advanced knowledge of the elimination game so she would win and make sure everyone advanced (which is needed at least once per season)

While I understand the reasoning, I completely disagree with what one candidate chose. Personally I would always choose to 'save' two people I think aren't the mole. I would want the two I suspected the most to see their screens. That way, if I happen to be wrong and going for the wrong person they may be eliminated and saving myself going before them. I feel like Renee's strategy makes sense if she is not safe herself, but otherwise why not hope your mole gets eliminated? I keep seeing this thinking in more than one season, can anyone explain? Otherwise I suspect Charlotte most, and then Rocky. Can't explain well, and I'll have to rewatch the season. Charlotte just seems like she's missing bits and pieces that would otherwise earn money for the group. Rocky just seems to competent with challenges, and those candidates frequently leave early. But also, whenever she doesn't succeed it makes it seem more like the challenge was a lost cause/or couldn't possibly be her fault. I feel pretty confident atm that it's not splinter or Marije. Just not feeling it from them. Renee... maybe, but nothing till I rewatch

Theory: I'm still full on Renee; it makes sense to me that Marije would have gone home this episode if she wasn't saved by Renee since she went full on Charlotte. Renee was also suspicious in the prison as I think she wasted a lot of time at the end that the team could have used to help Marije (although I do admit that everyone really abandoned her here.) Also, I'm still in a Renee conspiracy theory tunnel; as I commented on last week's episode, at 21:13 you see Renee in each episode (albeit in this episode you see everyone at the table), so I'm going to go on a limb and say that my theory still stands. ALSO, the sound from the first episode where the mole banged on the doors of the contestants to give them the joker offer resurfaces at 24:14, and Renee appears immediately after that! :O

Great episode. There were many chances to earn less money and the mole took those chances. If they won't start doing their best it may be the lowest pot ever. spoilers below . . . . . . . I think it's either Renee or Rocky. Renne has everyone's trust and can use this perfectly as the mole. It was mole's role last episode not to bid the highest ammount and - out of her and Splinter - she is more suspicious. Mole who tries to be a clumsy contestant can be hard to see. On the other hand, Rocky is often in an ideal place for the mole and some challenges seem to be almost made for her. If she knew last episode 2 other contestants bid 5k it was a perfect opportunity to use this as a "group fault" and take 5k out of the pot and make Charlotte and Marije suspect her less, since they saw how hard she was trying to solve all these puzzles. At this moment I don't suspect Splinter and I'm a bit confused with Charlotte.

I would agree with these two being the most likely moles. I feel like it would make more sense from a sabotage perspective for me if it were Rocky as I haven't really seen Renee in any positions where I felt like she was doing much sabotaging. However, looking at voting records and who would likely be the mole, it seems like the people going after Renee are consistently more successful (at least than Marije or Charlotte from the screen reveals) in avoiding going home. That episode with only Joshua, Splinter, and Renee able to be eliminated made me feel like it would make sense for Joshua to go home if he was only up against Splinter and Renee. However, if Renee is the mole then I'm going to be really confused about how she's actually done anything effective to sabotage.

Maybe the problem is Renee was not as good mole as the producers expected her to be, that’s why the pot was actually quite big in episode 5 (over 10k). First few episodes were really succesful for the group if we talk about the money and I think it was more of the overall challenges’ difficulty level when they didn’t earn a lot rather than actual molling. I want it to be Rocky but I’m more convinced it’s Renee. Or it will be like every year and the mole will be someone I don’t suspect at all. XD

@@wojciechsw96 not sure about "not good mole", maybe it was due to production issues. remember we do not know how much of the season had to be modified on short notice due to the pandemic. as i've said before they had similar issues with Iceland, where the Mole wasn't as prepared because of last minute changes. That said, I think the production is doing an awesome job on the challenges. I was afraid the lack of interaction was going to be a negative, but to me this really has the feel of a classic Mole season.

Spoilers Marije was cast out in this episode, she's least trusted by the group it seems. As no one was eliminated; Renee, Charlotte or Marije had a red screen and most probably will be eliminated in the next episode. Marije is a participant, eager to play the game, a little too honest sometimes, which could be her way of deceiving the others; but doesn't feel like the mole to me. Charlotte was of radar, but now has been moling more; coincidentally the same time the started to lose money. Renee is earning money one day and sabotaging the game the next. It's difficult to tell what is her agenda. I was on Splinter in the beginning, but he doesn't give off any reason to suspect him. With each episode he seems more and more like a participant. Rocky is mysterious. I can't tell much about her. Sometimes I have a feeling that the games were made with Rocky in mind as the mole.

Splinter thinks its either rocky or renee and he has seen 2 green screens. So he has more information then the other participants. So yea.

@@Thoothje_ That's kinda why I think it's Rocky. There's no way it's Renee, so Splinter surviving tells me a lot. Good point about the games being made with Rocky in mind. I had the same idea in Season 13 and that turned out to be correct also.

Spoiler/theory After this episode, I've completely ruled out Marije and Charlotte as moles after the test outcome and suspects since if one of them was the mole, Splinter or Rocky would have been gone. I've been on a Renée tunnel myself since episode 1 but I'm secretly hoping for a "surprise" Splinter or Rocky mole in the end

For the prize at the end of the episode . . . . Not a huge fan of these "multiple people can suddenly be exempt from execution" especially when there's this few people left. Comes across as really unfair as it negates a lot of other advantages and work people put in up to this point. Especially in back to back episodes. Screw having to play the game and pay attention at the same time, apparently.

. . . . . . . . . . I feel like if Renée were the Mole, she wouldn't want to save the people who were onto her, which would explain why she chose to save Charlotte and Marije over Splinter and Rocky. Although on the other hand, the fact that they saw green screens could reinforce their belief that they're right about Renée I guess if you were the Mole, you'd also want to eliminate people faster, because fewer episodes = fewer challenges...unless there's another opportunity to take money out of the pot in the extra episode. I suppose we'll find out Renée's endgame in the final episode if she does make it

Because Splinter and Rocky both got a green screen, that means the red screen *had* to have been for the three who went through regardless. The Mole could make use of this to make the other two question themselves.

. . . . . . . the one thing i am not sure, is does the Mole's test answers count or not. We know they never go home if proper NL Mole, but is that because they always have a perfect score, or because their results are excluded. If Renee is the Mole and results count, you fail the test on Purpose, and exclude people who suspect you so now they are in doubts about suspicions .

The statement is "The Mole never goes home", which would be easy with the Mole test still counting in a Normal execution since they know all the proper answers, plus production could highlight the answers for them.... So technically a Mole, knowing their screen was not going to be revealed, would also fit "The Mole never goes home" even with the worse result....making it a strategy by making people who were suspecting you know being in doubt, because they now think they were likely to have a red screen..
