I last heard this live at St. Sulpice. I like Nathan's rendition as well or better.

I have heard several recordings of this hybrid instrument and always found them sounding thick and boring. You on the other hand have produced a fine performance and recording which I much enjoyed. I think this proves that it is not just a matter of suitable registration but more to do with phrasing and articulation Congratulations.

I’ve often heard multiple organists play the same instrument with amazingly different results . It’s like someone installed a different instrument between players. I was taught never to select a stop because of the name on the draw knob but based upon what it sound like when you play it and how it fits into the ensemble. Nathan is a genius at that.
