Hi everyone. As I've mentioned, I add English subtitles to De Mol, the Belgian edition of this show, that premieres later tonight. Geweldig seizoen met Merel die een geweldige rol vervulde, echter dingen die ik gemist heb in deze ontknoping: - Waarom gaf Merel de vrijstelling aan Niels? (dit was natuurlijk een groot ding in WIDM, maar redenen waarom ze het niet besproken hebben zouden kunnen zijn: 1. de regie wilde dat het spel niet te lang zou duren dus hebben aan de mol gevraagd het spel te beëindigen, iets wat beïnvloed is door de regie laten ze natuurlijk niet zien in de ontknoping. 2. Merel had een persoonlijke voorkeur voor Niels in de finale, dit zou lullig zijn t.o.v. Sinan, dus hebben ze het niet laten zien om de sfeer niet te verpesten) - Waarom pakte Merel de 2 rode schermen envelop? (ook dit zou weer beïnvloed kunnen zijn door de regie, en dus de reden dat ze het niet hebben laten zien) - Wat was haar molactie in de steenfabriek opdracht? - Wat was haar molactie in de abseil-opdracht? - Hoe kwam die metalen buis in het gras terecht? (dit kan een neppe molactie van Niels zijn geweest, daarom niet laten zien bij acties van Merel) - Wat was haar actie in de opdracht in het water met de gekleurde schijven in aflevering 9? Jammer dat ze dat niet hebben laten zien. Het was een spectaculaire finale, maar wat mij betreft mag er meer tijd besteed worden aan de molacties en verborgen aanwijzingen(die we helemaal niet meer te zien krijgen, maar in het kort op de site staan), en iets minder tijd naar Ron Boszhard, sorry Ron!

Helemaal mee eens. Ron bakte er niks van. Later stelde hij ook geen goede vragen aan de kandidaten. Er miste heel veel tijdens deze finale aflevering. Tuurlijk kunnen ze niet alles laten zien, maar je hebt de belangrijkste punten al genoemd.

Thank you so much for all your hard work through the series once again! I didn't expect this at all until Monday evening at the earliest and would have been more than happy at that, not that it didn't stop me refreshing your page about 1000 times throughout the day :) . . . . . I didn't get the Mole right but at least I got it right about the jigsaw being used as the reveal! Also, Ron managed to get more airtime doing the audience gig than he managed during taking part in WIDM 18 ;) These live finales are always a bit too rushed though, surely the network could give them 2 hours for a bit of breathing space and to talk about more of the assignments? (I wanted to hear about various other things such as the Plinko 'slip up') they also seem to have put minimal effort into the hidden clues mentioned on the website this year! As an English viewer Chrome auto translates the website for me which is odd as it has a small glitch where it turns the contestant name 'Merel' into 'Blackbird' but I think that is just a small translation thing more than a clue of any sort!

It actually isn't a glitch. Merel in dutch is the name of a bird (the blackbird), but the name is also sometimes used as a dutch name for girls :) The best example would be a girl called Rose (which is also the name of a flower)

Spoiler: It was nice to see that I caught almost all of de Mol's actions, though they didn't mention the one that truly clinched it for me: the easiest way for production to get rid of two people in one episode (which had to happen, because they had one person too many) was for de Mol to pick the "two red screens" envelope. I wish they had said whether Evelien would have stayed if her joker had counted, and if so, who would have gone home instead.

Spoilers * * * I feel amazing knowing I was on the right mol Merel from the start and called exactly what happened at the lazer assignment, unfortunately a lot of good actions such as the cage, as well as the lack of Sarah as winner, being shown in this episode is dissappointing too but thats the problem with a live finale they cant evenly edit everyone. But #Merelisdemol I was right, it feels good. :) Max 204,700 points too on my season watching live as im Australian.

WARNING SPOILERS BELOW! * * * * * * * * * * Read the hints and hidden clues to the Mole of this season Who is the Mole? here! The biggest hint to the identity of the Mol was in the leader this season. Each episode, one assignment was replaced by puzzle pieces on a lake. If you mix the first letters of the names of the assignments, you get MOL IS IV . IV is the Roman number for 4. A reference to the Mol. Merel is the fourth person in the leader. Moreover, the puzzle pieces together form a portrait photo of the Mole. The men in the water took the Mole "On Tow Line" , the title of episode 1. As always, all other episode titles also point to the Mol. "Calculated" , the title of episode 2, refers to the Mol who is out during the assignments to get the best himself. At "Ver Tellen"the Mol tries to make as little money as possible by giving wrong answers. And at "Uit Stralen" De Mol took money away from the laser course. The candidates could all earn the same amount of money, but nobody calculated that. The title of episode 3 was "Not Saved" . De Mol lost the assignment "Stapelgek" by dropping the joker tower. Opponent Evelien won three jokers and the Mol had "three against". An anagram of the delivery title. And at the last "On Stairs" assignment , the Mol did not manage to ensure that they would go for 30 minutes in the presence of the whole group, while they had agreed 45 minutes. The order titles of this episode also point to the Mol. At"Flag Going" is shown in a shot with the flag of Colombia. And the Mole was "Stapelgek" by keeping a block with the word Mol on the forehead. To speak with the words of the Mole himself: "You would almost think that it is a clue." The delivery title "Becoming a printer" refers to the Mole who sees it becoming busier in the hotel after the execution on the roofs. And further on in episode 4, during the assignment "Serenade"also hinted at the identity of the Mole. On a balcony is the text: "The balcony of Merel ends at 13". The thirteenth letter of the alphabet is M. De M van Mol and Merel. Moreover, the Mol is on the right balcony during the assignment and literally says: "I am well. I am in any case well because I am at 13. "A reference to her foreknowledge and thus to her identity. But of course a mole would never do that. And so she is on the wrong balcony at the end of the assignment. The title of episode 5 was "Blinding" . De Mol dazzles Robèrt by carrying out the "Street Scene" and "Key Ring" assignments with him . He no longer sees her as the main suspect and falls away. Episode 6 has the title"Extract". It is a reference to the extraction of a Mollenstreek during the "Links / Right" assignment . At the end of the assignment, the total amount of the envelopes amounted to 1200 euros, while 1900 euros could be earned. Anyone who had calculated this, a reference to the title of episode 2, could have realized that during the assignment "Radiating" money was eclipsed that came in handy. De Mol took out high amounts of money from her envelopes and lowered them. The title of episode 9 was "Motive" . With the assignment "Chieftain"came wooden disks drifting through the mole thrown into the water, the hat of the mole drifted away and later the mole was in view with a spring. In addition, with the assignment "Drain" not only the records of the candidates were heard but also the following songs: 24k Magic, I'm Coming Out, Vision or Love, Ride Wit Me. The first letters of the last words form MOL M. A direct reference to Mol Merel. And finally, during the same assignment, only the guilty pleasure of the Mol could not be heard. A mole prefers to keep his pleasure secret.

Extreem goed gedaan. Ik heb haar maar 1x verdacht. Toen met het stokjes trekken voor de joker, ik was er van overtuigd dat alleen de mol zo iets kon doen. Zo een fout maak je alleen als je niet gehavend bent op het winnen van de joker en als je er een gewoonte van hebt gemaakt om het verkeerde te doen wanneer je een soort modus komt waarin niemand echt oplet. Na zo lang een rol te spelen wordt die rol een deel van je, ze molde onbewust en schrok van haar blootgeving. Niet van de actie. Super duidelijk, en toch bleef het bij die ene actie waarbij ik haar als Mol zag.

It turned out that my initial thoughts were completely correct! As a matter of fact, i was on the correct mole from the start, first by feeling, at the end with actual "evidence" which turned out to be true. But I must face the fact that I allowed my attention to be distracted by Jamie and Rick-Paul, but I now wonder if it was actually them, or the audience being full on those two that allowed me to be pulled into that tunnel. Of course when Jamie used jokers went fully for Rick-Paul and was eliminated as a result, I not only knew that Jamie could be removed from my list of suspects, but also that I could remove Rick-Paul from my list. I mean, if Rick-Paul was the mole Jamie would never get himself removed. I also had the feeling the next red screen would be for Rick-Paul who fully went for Jamie, and yes, that happened. Since we had a male-mole-streak. Klaas, Thomas, Jan respectively, I somehow *knew* from the start we should have a female mole this time, but you never know... A fourth male mole is always possible. And I said from the start, that if the mole is a female, it would be Merel (btw, somebody was talking about birds being a hint to Merel, well "merel" is, aside from a popular girl's name, also the Dutch name for a common blackbird, so it's possible they used that as a hint). And I stuck to that from the start. Sarah was only 2nd as a possible female mole, and none of the other women were ever on my suspect list. I don't know how Jamie and Rick-Paul could take my attention away from Merel and Sarah. They were the most notable candidates in general even if this was not about a mole, and the audience went full with them, and I allowed myself to go on in the flow I guess... When Rick-Paul and Jamie were removed, no I know it sounds hateful, but for me that was a blessing, as I could finally let those two go and focus on Merel. I became more sure she was the mole when she wanted to take-over the drone from Sinan. Something a mole definitely wants. The coconut task, damn, she was terrible. Don't say women are weaker than men, as even then, she could do better, so I already suspected she was deliberately not throwing far enough. When Sarah noted Merel first proposed to go for the exemptions and later switched to the money in the first assignment, knowing she's "lose" that voting anyway, I was convinced that Merel was the mole, and that I should never have allowed myself to be distracted by Jamie and Rick-Paul... damn you guys. I must say what she did in 39:20 was quite a nerve giving herself away on a silver platter, and nobody even noticed. I thought Jan was cocky, but Merel over-trumped him on that moment. But to the question if Merel was a good mole. If Rick-Paul and Jamie didn't distract me, I never have lost my eye on Merel, as she was my first suspect from the start, so in that perspective... no... when it comes to the money, well, she did break Magriet's record of the lowest prize money ever, so when it comes to that, she did a good job. It's not the first time, people manage me to distract me from the correct mole when I was on the right one. When I said nobody could hear Kees well in the waterfall assignment my back-then-wife said "nah, that's because he speak with a Volendam accent", so she took me away from the mole, only to hear him reveal later, we made himself deliberately ununderstandable in order to sabotage that assignment as the mole (I still mad about that one, but that's not the reason I divorced her, don't worry). And Jan was my first suspect last year but Ruben was playing so clumsily and Olcay was also catching my eye so much that I got once again distracted, and well, the same happened with Magriet, as I did see some mole-actions from her, but still went on my tunnel to Rik (who was now host of the show). When it comes to really getting me, Thomas is the best mole. I actually scratched him off as non-possible-mole, and he's the first mole who managed that. It was actually because of the gun-shoot-assignment that he first came to mind, as he was too obvious to have messed it up and he went so fast in the round that would determine the time he'd have to actually shoot (as a mole he knew that while the others didn't) that I really got in doubt. But then again, that doesn't top George who managed to steal 15000 euros from the pot and nobody was ever the wiser until Angela (the host back then) made note of that after the mole was revealed.

dus ik ben pas komen kijken bij deze serie. waarom weet ik niet. ik hou van mysterie enzo. nu ben ik per ongeluk achter gekomen wie de mol is. mijn vraag is. is het nog steeds leuk om de hele seizoen te kijken? nogmaals. ik ben helemaal verliefd op deze serie en kan niet wachten om alles op youtube te gaan kijken. en voorzichtig te zijn op social media.

yeah not a great season (not my least favourite, that goes to Australia no,4, even in NL i think 9 is my least favourite, the twist kind of set to tone for it.....).... One of my biggest problem with this season is i Never warmed up to Rik, and thought he was totally irrelevant.
