Dank je wel Marieke! Spaces for spoilers: * * * I think Sander probably went 100% on Soy. Anke still looks super shady. She was the other one who tried to get to a table on her own, but wasn't able to do so. Anniek just seems too obviously suspicious to be "it". I think she'd be more deceptive if it were her. Sander I never suspected. Not too happy with the introduction of "jokers". I don't generally like situations where people have to choose between money and jokers like this. It gives the Mole an "out". I don't think the Mole was in the team of three who went for jokers at the end. So the Mole basically didn't need to do anything.

SPOILERS I think my mole is Annick because I think the candidates talk about Daniel being the mole and it led me to believe that it’s not him! But it has led me to think it’s Annick and maybe Jurre because I believe that the mole is a woman and I think that the mole was in the seats where they won the jokers in the word challenge! So I think it’s them!

Thank you Marieke! Spoilers and suspicions... I'm intrigued by the word "molafspraak" and its true meaning of a "blind date" and I think usage of the word could be a clue to the viewers. In the scenes between the first and second assignment, you see all the candidates talking about who they trust and suspect (Annick and Soy on the bench; Ranomi, Anke, Jurre and Daniel at the table) but Nabil and Sander are talking about whether Nabil is good at football. This is more of a "date" question than more serious discussions about the game and who in that conversation is wearing sunglasses? Nabil. I also think that Nabil (if he is the mole) might have had the opportunity to select which ice cubes to break, and deliberately chose the one that contained the notice about the 2000 euros vs. the jokers. If so, I think his original plan was to be in the group to announce the answer to Rik and thereby choose the jokers (and deny the 2000 euros), but when the group agreed that Daniel, having figured out the answer, should have the honor of announcing, might have suggested to Sander to be more open about the note. Knowing how a candidate would naturally opt for jokers compared to 2000 euros (especially when they have the big success in the desert assignment), he may have had a decisive role in denying the group the 2000. That being said, I would still spread on Ranomi and Annick (and if I were taking the test in this episode, would have put a few questions on Sander for the announcing of the 3 joker offer).

(I know I'm late in watching this pls don't reply with spoilers) Sander suggested being open about the note before they reached the group where they agreed Daniel would go to Rik, which made him a candidate in my eyes. The fact that Nabil had that brief hesitation before he went yeah, no, of course I was gonna do that, makes me think he was planning on keeping the envelope a secret and lobbying for him and Sander to go up to Rik, and he had to change his plans on the fly because Sander was being so honest and the group nominated Daniel immediately.

Thanks again Marieke! An intriguing episode to be sure. I'm feeling pretty stumped this week. Spoilers belooooow: Every time I watch the intro I get hyped for the challenge they show with the car and the hands going up on the screen. I have no idea what it will contain but it looks creepy and cool. Completely unrelated to the episode but I think it every time I see it. First challenge: I don't really know what to think. I mean they succeed completely, so what's there to talk about? I've said it before and I'll say it again; the mole doesn't sabotage every challenge. Did they take a break? Actively help? Daniel really seemed to lead the charge this challenge; maybe trying to earn goodwill for the third challenge? Hmm. A thought I had entertained but not said out loud, and not my favorite theory, but considering how much money they've earned so far: is the mole...just bad this season? Not bad, maybe, but too quiet in the group? Maybe the mole is passive like Annick or Ranomi, and they're just getting domineered by the likes of Daniel, Soy, and Jurre? Something to ponder. I kinda wish there was one more twist to this assignment though to make it a bit more challenging. It seemed a bit too easy (not something I normally say in WIDM), especially to earn $2500. I kinda want to write Daniel off after this challenge, but there's something about him that makes me keep him around. (Probably his behavior in the third challenge.) Second challenge: I really like this one, even though it is dependent on knowing the languages and the only Dutch I know is from what I've picked up on watching this show over the years (which is mostly the speech before the test and execution, which of course they've edited this year). But I like that they can earn both money and jokers this challenge, which rarely happens (see: next challenge). It's usually an either/or thing, so I like this is a win both scenario. And it drove me absolutely crazy, but I finally figured out that the song that plays during the 'montage' in the middle of this challenge is the intro music to the Locke & Key show on Netflix. Doubt it's a hint, but I was being driven mad not knowing immediately where I had heard it from. So this challenge is pretty easy to sabotage, come up with some good answers to fool the others and just go along with bad answers, get maybe one answer right to not look too suspicious and only earn a measly $50 for the pot. It's impossible to know for sure who earned what with the montage and all, but I know Annick & Jurre earned at least $200 of the $750, and Nabil & Annick at least $100. We only see Ranomi & Soy and Daniel & Sander earn $50. $350 is unaccounted for in the montage, which is a bit annoying. Things that stood out to me: 1) The editing goes out of their way to bury the lede: the final round is a doubler round, both for the blocks they can earn but also the money. Any correct answer in that last round earns $100 rather than $50 (I calculated it: there's 9 words total-- Rik says there's 6 words left, right before introducing word 4-- and a max of $2000 for the challenge. So the final round has to be worth $400 to get to $2000). So it stands to reason that having a good answer in the last round is more important than the other rounds. Jurre and Annick come up with one of the fake answers that gives them the win this round, but the other fake answer comes from Daniel and Sander, and it's hidden well in the editing. Just...something to point out. 2) Daniel goes along with Sander's answers at the start of the challenge. For as much of a...well...fanatic and/or control freak as he is, I'm surprised he didn't have more of an opinion. There's not a huge focus on them (because they don't do that great), but to me it's borderline weird that they don't do that great. Daniel's a journalist, yes? And written a book. Sander is also a writer! Maybe this challenge requires more creativity than they possess, but I would think two writers would come up with some better answers in a word-based challenge. 3) For having some really solid answers (not a surprise, given both of their creative backgrounds), Nabil and Anke's final answer: blot out a wart? Seems like a really weird choice. Again, I don't know the language, but just the diction alone makes it stand out in a bad way. The mole wants to keep the $300 that is out of their control from entering the pot in this final round, so it's important to submit a good answer. Blot out a wart seems like...not a good answer. Maybe I'm wrong though and it's a perfectly logical answer. Might be a language barrier thing. 4) Not a lot of focus on Ranomi and Soy. And I...don't know how to feel about it. Ranomi's just had a massive lack of focus this season. At first I thought it was suspicious, but it's been 3 episodes already and she hasn't done all that much. I had her high on my suspect list but unless she gets a massive bump in attention next week I'm gonna have to drop her. And, perhaps unrelated, but there's this potential hidden clue each episode regarding a rubber duck. First two episodes had one, this one doesn't seem to have one. However, the only people to mention a duck this episode are Ranomi and Soy in this challenge, with their Peking duck answer. A clue? Perhaps...although seems a bit of a stretch. 5) Annick and Jurre do well this challenge, but not just because they win the jokers. They also earn a bit of money too. Or at least out of the money we see be earned, they are responsible for half of it. I'm not particularly suspicious of either of them this challenge (but maybe I should be?). Third challenge: Gotta be brutally honest, this challenge really makes me think the mole's a guy this year. The easiest way to sabotage this challenge is to make sure jokers are won this challenge rather than money. How do you guarantee this? Either be on the team that goes to Rik at the end (Jurre, Soy, or Daniel), or pick the most fanatical team to go to Rik but be Nabil and tell them jokers can be won instead (a choice too tempting to ignore, especially since other people have jokers after last challenge). I don't know what the girls were doing this challenge, but it really did little to impact anything. Perhaps this challenge always fails though? If the mole is passive, they may know this and just lay low. But after laying low in the first challenge, can they really get away with another expensive challenge failing? Better to go for the guarantee, and easiest way to do that is be in team Soy, Jurre, and Daniel. If there's any challenge that it pays to do well, it's this one. It makes you look really good in front of the other contestants but still keeps money out of the pot. Daniel wonders in the middle of the challenge if the code word is related to the ship. Jurre offers ship as an answer, and Daniel solidifies it. If I were to go off this challenge alone and nothing else, I would almost certainly bet the mole were either Jurre or Daniel, but I won't write off Nabil. This episode really has me confused ya'll. I both want to write off Daniel as mole and put him as my top suspect. Ranomi fell in my ranking, if only because she's just done so little, and not in a suspicious way this week (rather in a 'I'm getting eliminated next week so don't get too attached to me' way). I wasn't initially suspicious of Jurre, but him giving the right code word in the third challenge and then letting Daniel run with it was pretty masterful. Nabil remains on my radar as patently suspicious, especially finding the envelop that put the nail in the proverbial coffin on that last challenge. I think I'm officially dropping Ranomi off my top 3 and now going forward (in no particular order) with Daniel, Nabil, and Jurre. This season's been really great and confusing!

Thanks Marieke for the translation!! Spoilers below: 1:20 'Pokerface' again... Daniel said his moles are going home. We've seen this before, but how can you answer more questions right when your moles are going home? So, maybe the mole was in the choir in the first episode... and in the photo group in the second... which makes sense as they were the most beneficial places to be.... or Daniel is the mole. First assignment: the group is a chaos... Ellie should teach some 'etherdiscipline' to them! Some suspicious from Nabil wandering off, Soy suggesting splitting the group, Annick with buttons... Even so successful task, a very easy one. It was difficult to mole, because it was beneficial to move as a group. Second assignment: Just two misery jokers? Only if the group doesn't know who the mole is, so then a joker can make a difference in the quiz. As Soy said, the mole knows what words will show so they can play ahead, writing and answering. Jurre, Annick, Anke and Nabil far ahead from the rest. $750, so 15 correct answers. Third assignment: Chaos again. This group accomplishes things with force, no strategic plans... Why took so long for the women to find the ice blocks? 5 minutes hammering ice blocks? Come on... Nabil not seeing the box right in front of him two times!! $2000 or three jokers? Why Sander told the group? Daniel found the answer alone, no help from the other guys. Jurre finally addressing the issue no physical money, it's easier to lie about the amount earned. The production of the show could play this in future episodes as well and make candidates betray each other. Jurre said: "we forgot to ask again (about the money)", so they still don't know why the production decided to not bring physical money? I thought they knew and it was just not showed to us. This episode made me change my suspects. My list from most suspicious from least: Anke, Nabil, Jurre, Annick, Ranomi, Sander, Soy and Daniel. And Sander was eliminated... He didn't try anything suspicious in the show, so he was very low on my list. He didn't appear much screentime as well. I agree with him, Daniel is possible not the mole, he is a fanatical candidate who wants to have fun and accomplish the tasks. He went full on one person?! I really want to know who that is. Next episode seems to be a lot fun, can't wait!!

Op 46:47 verraadt de mol zich denk ik, tenminste, voor de kijkers. De deelnemers merken het niet. Sinds ik deze actie heb gezien en het onverwacht neutrale gezicht daarna (bijv wanneer een andere kandidaat precies hetzelfde woord noemt en zelfs 'schip-peren' ontdekt) zit ik alleen maar op deze mol in mijn WIDM pool

The first assignment seemed a bit too easy, the time limit never really seemed to come into play and the candidates just stuck together so no real opportunity for the mole, the second assignment probably more fun for Dutch viewers although seemed to get cut for time and the third is perhaps going to cause some interesting moments next week when the money returns minus 2000! 'But if you know who the Mole is you don't need any jokers at all...right Ranomi' HMM! Interesting play on words, the Mole would know who the Mole is (i.e. Ranomi), the person to the right at the elimination is Jurre or it could mean absolutely nothing at all :)

(mid episode rn so I don't know spoilers yet) Okay, in task 2, at the end only two of the duos had a chance at winning. Soy, Ranomi, Daniel and Sander can't win anymore, so as crewmates, they should play for the money, right? Why did they not put words that made no sense as the wrong ones, to have a bigger chance of the group earning money?
